I came across Shaun’s company Dash builders in social media , I reached out to him and his reply was prompt same day! Arranged a time to look at what I needed to be done for a new walk-in shower in my master bathroom. Quote followed next day, agreeed to the terms and he was off and running to get the job done. I am a large general contractor and been in the construction industry for 24 years and with very little time to spare myself to do it , and all I can say is WOW! I was impressed and pleased with their workmanship efficiency of turning the job over with 2 weeks. I will recommend Shaun and his crew to everyone and anyone I know. I am confident that Shaun and his company will impress many, with level of service that he provides as well as his rates.

Dash Builders did a fantastic job for a bathroom renovation in one of my rental properties. As it was for a rental property, there was a budget that I wanted to maintain. Dash Builders completed the bathroom on budget and on time. I would most definitely use Dash Builders again and I would recommend to everybody. We had Dash Builders install our new kitchen in our daycare centre. They were really accomodating, helped with extra work that came up unexpectedly, helped pick out the right countertops and cupboards, and were very fast to respond to concerns, questions, and comments that I had. I recommend them highly.

We met with Shaun and Danny after having met with a few other renovating contractors, and consequently were feeling somewhat disheartened that our master bathroom project would ever get started. We connected instantly with Shaun and Danny; they felt like the right fit from the get-go. This high-energy, personable, professional team was just what we were looking for. The project was unable to start on the scheduled date because of unforeseen issues with the manufacturer - the items we had ordered were not going to be available till into 2019, or possibly not at all - so we had to make alternate choices. Shaun communicated with us regularly in the interim, and as soon as the entire order was in, he and Danny began demolition of our 30 year old jetted tub and child-sized shower, and removal of the old vanity and flooring. They worked quickly and efficiently, in a timely manner, within budget. Their rapport with their trades is commendable; each person in their crew was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We felt that we were in good hands with Dash Builders from start to finish. In addition to providing a reasonable price for the project, Shaun and Danny are trustworthy, respectful, active listeners who offer good suggestions in a collaborative spirit, and provide quality service as well as excellent workmanship with good coordination of trades. We cannot be more pleased with Dash Builders and crew and have a few other projects for them to undertake in the new year. They have earned 6 stars out of 5 from us!

We found Dash Builders on the trusted pros website. As soon as Sean and his brother Danny (owners) came over to give us an estimate we knew we wanted them to do our Reno..they listened to what we wanted, and their estimate came in a lot less than other estimates we had done! They started June 11/2018 and told us it would take 2 weeks and it did! The workers were all so nice and friendly and Sean and Danny made sure everything was done to perfection! I can't say enough about Dash..we will definitely call them for any other projects we want done..like so many other home owners it's scary to hire people to do work on your home..it's a big investment and like others we have been burned before..but with Dash we didn't have a worry in the world and have had so many compliments on our new bathroom! They are working on one of my friends houses and I have already referred Dash to others..thank you Sean and Danny for the beautiful bathroom!

Shaun and dan did a full renovation on my bathroom in East St. Paul. They added a walk in shower, claw foot tub and a floating vanity. The tile work half way up the walls in the bathroom turned out brilliant. I’ve already began planning my basement Reno with them for the winter. We weren’t 100% sure if we were going to do the basement, but after the work Dash did for us, all hesitation was lifted. I would recommend Shaun and Dan to any friends considering improving their homes.

Our renovation experience was thoroughly pleasant experience. My husband and I are are convinced the exclusive reason for this was our choice of contractors. Shaun and Dan at Dash builders made us comfortable right from the start with, their obvious knowledge of the industry. They helped us come up with a budget that made sense and we never felt pressured to spend money on extras that previous contractors had done in the past. Dash builders reputation speaks for itself, because they were recommended to us by friends that were previous customers and in turn we will recommend them to anybody on the market for a contractor.

After negative experiences with contractors I was hesitant but the guys were amazing! Professional, responsive, kept me informed and part of every decision, friendly and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and also use them again :) so happy with the result, too - my dream home!!

First of all, thank you to the other reviewers. The reason we first contacted DASH was because of your comments. We totally agree with the previous comments about the great experience with Shaun & Dan!

We had Dan & Shaun renovate our large (11’x9’) bathroom with a huge Jacuzzi tub, vanity, toilet and small shower into two 3 piece bathrooms.

The main bathroom has a vanity with engineered marble sink/counter, toilet and tub with tub surround.

Our new ensuite (6’x9’) has a large vanity with engineered marble sink/counter, custom tiled shower and toilet.

Their quote was just slightly higher than the lowest but still substantially lower than another 2 quotes we obtained. After meeting with all four contractors we felt like DASH Builders were a good fit for our personalities and the work we wanted done. Dan and Shaun really seemed to listen to us and understand what we wanted. They were the only one of the 4 contractors who indicated they would be getting a building permit and inspection. Once the contract was signed and initial payment made they brought in a plumber and electrician who had some bad news for us. The design we had come up with would not work without substantial work (and cost). Dan and Shaun came up with some other solutions and even offered the down payment back if we wanted to go with a different contractor. We forged ahead and in the end came up with a better design than we had in the first place (and it even knocked a few dollars off the quote).

The shopping trip – Both Dan and Shaun listened to our wishes and could mediate a happy medium between my husband and I who had very differing tastes. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the decisions and left plenty of samples for me to ponder over for days. Work then started on time. There was the odd delay but they always were in touch with us to make sure we knew what was happening. Throughout the renovations we continued to add extra work … hooking up our new dishwasher, fixing a closet door, putting in new doors, painting, etc. They had no problem adapting to these changes along the way. The subcontractors they used were all excellent and professional. They kept the work area clean and tidied up daily. There was some unavoidable build-up of materials during the renovation, but they cleared it all away and even cleaned our house when they were done. Were there any hiccups along the way … sure but that is to be expected and they addressed any concern and/or question I had.

Project was completed on time and on budget. The end results were better than we could have hoped for. We are very happy we chose Shaun and Dan … they were patient, professional, honest and reliable. We would highly recommend them and would use them again if the opportunity arises.

Shaun and his team built a new laundry room in our basement. This project included building new walls, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and installing new tiles. Every aspect of their work was stellar. Shaun provided a clear, reasonable quote. The laundry room was completed on time and on budget. Shaun and the different workers communicated well, so we always knew what was going on with the project. The work itself was very well done and all of the workers were quite courteous. We highly recommend Dash Builders and would be happy to hire them for future renovation projects.

We hired Dash Builders to redo our bathroom floor. The quote and cost was fair, they did an excellent job and were very professional. They also did the work on the timeline we initially agreed upon. We have had very poor experiences with contractors in the past, so are very happy to have found Dash Builders! We have hired them back to do additional work to our basement this spring and have already recommend them to friends.

They really took the time to help us chose what we wanted, and the experience of picking out all of the materials with them was fun! They were reliable, sticking to the initial time frame and budget, and always showed up when they said they would. They were respectful to us and our home, even cleaning up at the end of each day. These two gentlemen are absolute perfectionists. Nothing .. absolutely nothing .. gets in the way of the absolute highest quality products and ultra professional workmanship.

The MAAX tub and surround, custom cabinets by Cabinet Corner, matching MOEN fixtures throughout, Armstrong Premium Stone flooring, Schlage doorware and paints were immaculately installed.

And clean-up? Impressive! Each step of the makeover required significant removal of dust, old materials, etc. Again, perfectionism!

We asked Dash Builders to build a property divide between 529 Wellington Steakhouse and Congregation Shaarey Zedek. The work began exactly when promised and completed much earlier than expected. The team was professional and courteous with our guests as well as respectful and very accommodating of our restrictions with respect to our parking needs as the project required care of the surroundings. The job site was left cleaner than when they started and materials were removed promptly. Costs were exactly as quoted. 529 Wellington Steakhouse will not hesitate to request the services of Shaun & Dan of Dash Builders for any future projects.

These guys were one of 5 quotes that I got for my bathroom renovations from Trusted Pros. They gave me the service I wanted for my budget. They put in a new tub, surround, and vanity top for me and were accommodating with letting me do the flooring and paint (the things I could do on my own), thus saving me money.

They communicated with me well and did a terrific job in a timely manner. I am very happy with how my bathroom now looks! Would highly recommend!

Shaun showed up within a week of confirming the job and finished framing and hanging the drywall in one day. They even worked through their lunch to get it done. They did some nice creative boxing out in our bathroom to maximize ceiling height and hide pipes. Would definitely call them back for other work.

We can not recommend Dash Builders enough. Very professional approach from the onset. We needed some framing done for an addition to the house, they came when they said they would come (even in the frigid temps) and completed the job as we hoped/expected. The inspector was even impressed by how well the job was done. If you need a project done, we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I will start off by saying a limit of 5 stars in the rating does not at all show how satisfied we are with our new addition.

We started off our search for a contractor this summer but couldn't find anyone we had a good feeling about. Finding Dash Builders was the best thing we did.

Right from the start Dash Builders were so accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. Now, I am not a handy-woman at all.. I was able to hand them my inexperienced pencil sketch of what we would like and they were able to give us everything we wanted and more. It was easy for them to give us cost effective options when we didn't know what path to go down and they were very open and honest verbalizing hiccups before they happened so we were well prepared. We have a small 650 sq foot old farm house we knew would have some surprise costs as the renovation went on. We were given the information and quotes for the extra work as soon as they arose. They offered to help us outside of what they were hired to do which we couldn't appreciate more. Dash has been very accommodating and really easy to get a hold of through the whole process, they get the job done in an impressive time as well as stay late or on weekends if needed, the job site was very clean and organized the entire time. They did an excellent job of cleaning out our new addition to make it !perfect move in ready!

As much as we love living in our addition we are sad to not see them here every day. We are definitely only calling Dash Builders from now on as we will have more renovations in the future.

Dash builders came to our rescue after thousands of dollars, and multiple weeks with little progress by another contractor. Within 3 days of being on our job site the progress was amazing! Dash builders were sensitive to the situation and went above and beyond to restore our faith in the renovation process. They agreed to all of my conditions, particularly the accountability that I required to continue the relationship in a confident manner.

We own a character home and I was completely set on maintaining the integrity of our 104 year old home. I came to the table with items that were reclaimed and there was never a problem or resistance in meeting my creative vision or material demands.

Dash Builders were willing to work directly with me in a patient and creative manor that led to the unique kitchen design that I set out to create. They were honest with limitations, and timelines, and were very accurate in their budget of expenses. I truly believe that I pushed their previous renovation boundaries and they continuously rose to the occasion.

They were timely and respectful in their daily routine and stayed on site past the “normal hours” as necessary. They were eager for feedback on the quality of the work and open to suggestions of improvements and brought forth their own creative and valid suggestions. Any concerns we had were addressed quickly and without attitude. I have no doubt that Dash Builders will do what it takes to satisfy their home owner’s vision and get the job done!

I had an excellent overall experience with Dash Builders.

This was my very first time taking on a renovation project. It was for my recently purchased condo. I had some wacky but firm design ideas and Shaun was the first contractor I spoke to who treated my ideas with respect. That meant a lot to me.

They did a truly amazing job on the terrible task of removing my popcorn ceiling and repainting. I was also very pleased with the very professional job they did with the laminate flooring and tiling.

Shaun was always friendly and professional and he consistently kept me updated on the status of the projects. He also gave me excellent rates for the work done.

At the end of the renovations, I noted several areas where the clean-up was not satisfactory. I brought this to Shaun's attention, and he dealt with it immediately. I am really happy with Dash Builder's work and I would definitely hire them again.
