Tried to sell us a much more expensive repair than was required. We suspected the thermal fuse had tripped after a self clean cycle. It had. We saw the tripped switch after we pulled out the oven after the tech left. He told us we didn’t have a thermal switch /fuse on our oven! Without even testing or pulling out the oven he 'diagnosed' a power controller failure. A much pricier repair than just the fuse! Not reputable people. Stay away!
Back in April the settings on my stove timer weren't working and the timer would go off every hour or so. I called Express repair to come take a look. In my phone call, I specifically said what the issue was and asked for a quote, which they did not provide. The only thing they said was that it was a $99 service call to assess, and if I wanted it repaired they would credit the $99 from the bill. When the Tec got to my place he pressed a couple of buttons and the settings didn't work for him either, so he looked up the part on line and said that the parts were obsolete and he couldn't fix the timer. I was disappointed that they couldn't fix my stove (I was left with a beeping timer) so I asked if he could at least disconnect the wire to stop the beeping. The tec said it would cost me $290 (this is already with the $99 deducted.) I was floored and said " TO disconnect a wire?? And not fix my stove??". He didn't say much other than that's a flat rate....In frustration and needing the beeping sound to go away, I said yes, all while feeling I am being exploited. After the Tec left, I called customer service to complain and they were rude, and dismissed me saying he touched my stove so the charges applies...Obviously he touched my stove, you can't assess without touching, but he didn't fix anything, I still have a stove with no timer. I requested to speak to Management to which I was told they were gone for the day. I asked if they can call me when they are back, I never heard from them. I called again a few days later and they weren't available. I asked if they could call me back. To this day I am still waiting to hear from them...To add insult to injury today they texted me saying that they "validate" me as a customer and would like to offer me $50 off my next repair, to give them a call to schedule an appointment...I don't want to deal with them again!! I don't want $50 off my next repair, I want a refund no strings attached!
Had a technician come to our house and determined our dryer motor had seized. Said he would call me to book an appointment to fix it. I ended up having to call to get the appointment and was told he would be there between 10-12. I called to confirm he was coming the day of the appointment and was told my appointment was actually between 11-1. I explained my appointment was actually 10-12, she then said there had been a “glitch” in the system and I was right, the appointment was a between 10-12, which by that point it was already past 11. Received a call from the technician saying he would be there in 30 minutes. And hour and half later I was still sitting there waiting for him. I called back and asked if he was actually going to come because I had plans for the day and had already sat here waiting for him for 3 hours. Technician then called to say he “had a flat tire right after he spoke to me”. Asked to reschedule the appointment for 6 that night. I called again at 7:10 demanding to know where this guy was as he told me he would be at my house at 6 after I sat all morning waiting for him. She told me my appointment was between 6-8, at which point I had had enough and called bullshit on this whole story. I had given a deposit for my part, was asked to sign for the credit card approval only to realize I had signed a contract stating my deposit was non refundable. I asked if this was the scam, to take the deposit and then never show up to do the work. Finally arrived at 7:30 on a Friday of a long weekend and worked until 930 at night. Totally screwed my entire day, totally unprofessional, totally would not recommend.
Should have looked at all the reviews on this company.
I had representative from Express Repair come to my residence to repair my fridge. The representative indicated he was not a refrigeration technician however indicated my cooling system was faulty and needed to be rebuilt. Costs estimated between $1200 and $1400 to repair. Called a couple days later and asked if they could make the repairs required. Michelle (I think she is some kind of manager) called back and indicated it would take 3 months to get parts and I should call the manufacturer. I asked Michelle to provide a documentation indicating the long delay so I had something to show the manufacturer. She refused and said it was against their policy. I then asked for a part number and she indicated she would send within 48 hours. Two weeks latter I followed up with Michelle about part number and she said they no longer fix fridges and to look up part number on line.
Not getting any service from ExpressRepairs I was forced to pay for another company to diagnose fridge issues. It will cost $500 to repair fridge.
Wish i read all the reviews first. This company lied several times on the phone to get there service call price. First there website says 59.99 or up for service call i got charged 90$ after tax.
Second I asked when I was booking what is the max price for the part as I gave them the exact model and part that wasent working on my washing machine. As I knew what it was and was told a max price. Tech arrives no parts and then gives me a price double the original max and tell me I owe $90 because he came. Took 20 minutes max. Most time spent writing a recipt.
Asked about if I get a new machine could I get the service call price back he said no only for the part.
Washing machine recently went with a specific error code. I ran some tests and tried my best to figure it out. I contacted many places and they got back to me right away and said they would send someone out the next morning. The person who came opened the top and looked around for about 20 to 30 minutes. He put the top back on and proceeded to look over the manual and be on his phone for another 30 minutes before quoting me an absurd amount for the cost (half the price of the machine). When I asked if he knew for sure that was the problem and what would happen if I paid that amount and it didn't fix it, he shrugged his shoulders at me. He then seemingly got upset and told me what I had already read in the manual about the error code. I could have saved money having this person come out and tell me what I already knew and do less than I did to diagnose the situation. Seems like more of a quick cash grab. When I called their supposed 24/7 line, I left a message and have yet to get any response back. DO NOT USE!
