We were so happy with Adams quality of workmanship when he installed our washroom vanity. We asked him to build us a free standing trellis. It looks amazing and is very secure. We will be contacting him for future projects
Adam did an excellent job hanging a large, heavy mirror and installing our washroom vanity. He is very knowledgeable and provides a very high quality of workmanship Amazing customer service is given before, during and after the project was finished. We will definitely be calling him for future projects.
After trying for weeks to get a contractor to look at our project, we called up Frameworks Renovation and they showed up on the same day. Both young men were polite, professional, obviously highly knowledgeable about their craft and full of great ideas and important information. They gave us a timeline, over three weeks before Christmas and to tell you the truth we really didn't think it would happen that fast. But it did. They showed up every morning with a plan for the day and were sure to keep us informed of their progress. They kept a very clean and orderly work space. They were up front and reasonable about expenses. They finished the job exactly when they said they would. Our friends who have had renovations done are incredulous! Our new bathroom is gorgeous and we have a fabulous walk-in closet. They are so great to work with we asked them back to install a new hearthstone for the fireplace and it looks amazing. We highly recommend that you discuss your project with Frameworks Renovation before signing on with any other contractor. You will not be disappointed!
Adam did an absolutely fabulous job on our recent bathroom renovations. He listened to what I wanted and made recommendations where he thought that it would add value. He was flexible and committed to doing an excellent job. He made it clear that the job wasn't finished until we were completely satisfied and he was true to his word. He came back a couple of times to fix small issues that had arisen. Would definitely recommend Adam and Ryan for any kind of reno project.
We initially had a good start in working with Adam and Frameworks to build a new residential fence. However, by the time the fence was completed, the service and quality of work quickly turned for the worse. We have uploaded pictures to prove our dissatisfaction and frustration in working with Frameworks. Here is a list of all the things gone wrong:
1) Priced the job incorrectly - on the last day of the job, Adam came to us asking for more money for concrete to put in the posts. This is something that should have been sorted out in the beginning and not on the last day.
2) Retaining wall - we asked for them to build a retaining wall and they built it incorrectly. It was built above ground. Their response to their incorrect framing was to tell the landscaper to put cloth down when topsoil goes in. But we paid extra for the retaining wall to be made and for what exactly (see image).
3) Front gate - We sent Adam photos of how we would like the front gate to look and you can see clearly in the images it is nowhere close. You can see the archway is not round and the black insert is half the size. Adam had no solution.
4) Front gate framing - you can see a significant gap between the gate and post and Adam mentioned all of the gates are like that. We took photos of new fences in the area and NONE of the gates look like ours. Once again Adam has no solution
5) Fence grading - our neighbour has a dog and we warned Adam in the beginning we need to make keeping the dog safe in their yard a priority. After completion of the fence, Adam and his team left a 1ft to 2ft gap between the ground and the top of our concrete. It was extremely unsafe as the dog or a child for that matter could get his head stuck in the gap. They left the grade completely exposed on our neighbors side when we were clear this needs to be a priority. We also had to pay for this to be fixed. (See image)
6) Job completion - we hired Frameworks to build a fence and deck. We paid Frameworks on the notion that our fence and deck would be completed by June 22nd. Frameworks committed and we have the texts to prove it. One week before the deck is set to be completed, Adam cancels the deck build and decides they no longer want to do it. Now we have a 4ft drop from our patio doors to our patio ground. Adam refuses to complete the project and fulfill the remainder of our agreement.
In short, not only was the work poor quality, we overpaid, it did not meet safety requirements and we are now left with a half completed job. We had another contractor come in for a 2nd opinion and we will now be out of pocket by another $2,000 to fix the retaining wall and gate.
Customers beware.
We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the fence job we completed for you.We hire out our fence jobs to partners that specialize in posts and fences. We stand by their work and can say in confidence that their workmanship and quality speaks for itself. On Monday June 4th, our team came and installed the 6x6 posts as per the scope of work. A typical fence with good soil conditions takes around 3 bags per post. After digging the post holes, the team quickly came to realize that it would not only take 3 bags of concrete but 5 bags to properly complete. We shipped 52 extra bags of concrete to ensure there was enough concrete to properly secure the 6x6 posts. The reason for the extra concrete was because of really loose soil conditions and extensive amounts of large rock.On June 4th, the final day of the job, we had explained to Elizabeth and John about the problem of the extra concrete material and time. We simply asked if they would be ok with paying an additional amount to at least cover the extra costs. Their response was it was in your quote to install the 6x6 posts, and it is not our problem it took more concrete. Although it was an unforeseen circumstance and we could have not predicted it from the beginning, we took the extra material out of our profit, seeing as how the homeowners were not interested in helping and being reasonable. There was no additional charge on the final invoice. The client expanded the original scope of work and wanted to add a retaining wall in the fence made out of 6x6 posts. They were unhappy with a quote they had previously gotten for a stone retaining wall, and decided the retaining wall built into the fence would be the solution. Although we advised against it ( which we have texts of ) we had the team incorporate the retaining wall into the fence. The grade of the land slopes downward as you can see in the pictures, so we had installed the retaining wall stepping down in sections all level with each other. The retaining wall was built out of 6x6 pressure treated posts, with rebar going 4 ft in the ground joining it all together, 12 hand spikes were then driven in between the material which was then finished off with everything lag bolted together. There was nothing incorrect with our framing. In Fact, they were over built. Please see attached pictures we provided of the retaining wall built into the fence, you can clearly tell it is built properly. As you can see in their pictures, they zoomed in, in an effort to exaggerate. On June 4th, the final day of the fence, John came out and showed me a picture of what they wanted the gate to look like. It was not the same gate Elizabeth had shown us originally with the round archway. Elizabeth was not happy with the final result of the gate as shown in the pictures. To make up for the mis- understanding we went out and bought and installed fence caps on all of her posts at no extra charge. Some of the reasons behind her frustration of the gate was that the iron insert was not big enough for her liking. In summary,we quickly realized that they were very unreasonable, and that we were getting taken advantage of. They had no want or interest in trying to be fair and continuously wanted extra work to be done at little to no cost. After struggling to get paid for the fence the team decided that we did not want to start another project. After the fence was completed Elizabeth and John STILL wanted us to come back and build them a deck. Only after telling them that we did not want to start a new project for them, came this mean, dishonest and spiteful review. We are sorry you were obviously hurt that we did not want to continue working for you (which is what triggered this unflattering review), but just like clients can choose their contractor, contractors can also chose who they want to work with.We all read those reviews that exaggerate and exploit people and this was one.
We had a fantastic experience with Adam and Ryan. They were respectful, punctual and their communication was excellent. They are hard working and care about ensuring their customers are happy and this is reflected in the quality of their work.
We love our new garage and have hired them to finish a bathroom for us.
Hi Leah,

Adam built the fence a foot away from my property line. When he was asked to repair it...he refused and requested full payment.
When I refused to pay until the job is satisfactory ...Adam went onto my property and took 1500.00 worth of wood.
Matter is now in court.
I went out of my way to accept post dated cheques, did additional landscaping work at no extra charge and lowered original quote to accommodate customer. Customer could not produce a land survey and asked me to build along side a crooked fence. I aligned the new fence as close as possible to the existing crooked fence and she approved the location of the posts and said she was happy. After concrete had been poured the following day, customer changed her mind and also indicated that she would not pay unless they were relocated 3 inches closer. After providing my invoice for the two days work, customer offered only 100$ for 2 days labour with two men, rentals and material. Client threatened her two rottweilers and pitbull on my colleague and I. Therfore I removed my material that my company had purchased, and discontinued working for this unreasonable customer. Customer still owes me an outstanding balance.
I was very pleased with the work that was done. They were very professional and very conscientious about the job.
Very polite too. They also cleaned up after each night and hauled everything away when they were finished.
Communication was very good too, they knew what I wanted and proceeded to give me the bathroom I had envisioned.
My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Adam Kingsbury of Frameworks Renovations at the end of January 2017.
Adam was punctual and on budget. He provided sound advice and options to us as we prepared our house for sale and installed a number of new light fixtures and a new bathroom vanity.
His construction skills, his experience with general household repairs and time management exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend him to any homeowner interested in buying, selling or simply renovating their home. Adam's great humour and professional skills were very much appreciated and will always be welcome in our home!
Thanks Adam ... Fantastic job. ... and our home sold in 7 days and well above asking price!
