Kris Blandford

In August 2013 we booked Mr. Kris Blandford to renovate our ensuite. This was done after receiving a referral from a friend and doing an Internet search on Mr. Blandford. The 2 week renovation began November 5 2013 and was completed September 2 2014. While Mr. Blandford made attempts to fix problems with the tiled shower, new problems would emerge with each fix. Problems with the shower were structural and cosmetic. One attempt to fix the shower produced numerous leaks. The following problems were noted on final retailing of the shower: chipped, crooked and uneven tiles, grout lines of differing color and width, previously applied grout not removed, large cracks in the grout. The poor use of time extending the job is also noted. We contracted another company to repair/replace the shower which doubled the cost of the renovation. We were not able to pursue Mr. Blandford through small claims court due to legal processes in place at that time.

We are not critical or picky people. The second contractor supplied us with a letter documenting issues as they saw it so we could try to recover money through small claims. We strongly urge readers to avoid using Mr. Blandford for any construction work. He is unaccountable and his workmanship is poor. Save your money, heartache, and sanity; find another contractor!
