We are rather disappointed with the approach, process and results in the construction of our new house by Lida Homes. This is due to a number of things. First is the clear lack of supervision, which resulted in structural mistakes such as the framer not following the drawings, leading to structural wall being longer, rough in plumbing located in the wrong area etc.
Other examples of negligent supervision is the dryer exhaust system being set up wrong, possibly creating moister leaking in between walls and in the attic and a squeaking shower pan.
Second, Lida Homes ignored the timeframe laid out in our agreement, as the house was supposed to be substantially completed by August 15th and it is now end of November and we still do not have an occupancy permit. Lastly, a list of incomplete jobs and deficiencies was written by the company foreman, including major things such as wrapped front door, crack through in the frame of sliding patio door, unfinished outside painting and paget concrete walls, lack of support on the side door etc and the list is basically being ignored by Lida Homes management.
The bottom line is, if you are looking for a professional building company with integrity, you should keep looking. This has been our experience with Lida Homes.
