Mike McNeil and Suzanne Deveau of M McNeil Contracting came to our house to access our situation of needing a new septic system and excavating for a new home.
They were excellent! They were reasonably priced and the septic system works great.
The excavating was very challenging and Mike handled it like the pro he is.
Suzanne's assistance on the Septic Service was invaluable and saved a lot of time and money.
They suggested some ideas that saved us money and their creativity during the whole process was priceless in giving ideas to better utilize the land and the rock we uncovered during the excavating process.
I would recommend Mike and Suzanne of M McNeil Contracting any day.
They are professional and considerate and I would not hesitate to refer them to others. Great Job Guys 5 thumbs up and 5 stars all round.
As per their listing with ASTTBC this is what we hired. What we got was an installer who hoodwinked us into hiring an out of town engineer to design and plan the system, who cost us $6,000 above the hired installers costs of $25,000, who took from Sept 2014 to February 2015 to complete the install that failed 8hrs later. We have now spent an addiitional $7,000 to fix the system. This is on top of the horrendous delays, excuses and daily promises to complete the system for six months, damage to the site, and our property, and being left with a massive pit and wall of dirt across our driveway for three months.
We mistakenly believed the installers promises that we were their "first priority" that the install would be done before November, and that they had lots of septic installation experience and specifically experience with a type 3 system. We have since discovered they only had been licensced for a couple of years, with only a handful of septic installs and never a type 3. We mistakenly believed them when they told us we needed a type 3 system (we have since been told my multiple installers this was an unnecessary, expensive upgrade). We have also discovered that all in our septic should have cost no more than $18,000 - $25,000, all in, by installers who average 20-50 systems annually for decades, and an average install time of one to two weeks.. Not the dozen or so over two years, and six months as this woman had done.
The deceived us, threatened us, and harassed us. Destroyed the grounds, broke a window, and left us without a toilet or running water for three months. They did not deliver the system in a timely fashion, over sold us on what we needed, and repeatedly broke their promises to come and complete the system.
