Mike Osborne Home Renovations

On April 6, 2022 my wife and I called Mike Osborne Home Renovations to ask if they could install the door onto the deck. Mike Osborne came and gave us the estimate and the measurements. The price, he said would be $2,100.00 and the door would be installed withing a couple of weeks. We paid a deposit in the amount of $1,050.00. Weeks passed and there was no sign of the door. We called Mike Osborne a number of times and he promised to install the door within two weeks. After that nothing happened for a few weeks and we filed a complaint with the Better Business bureau. Mr. Osborne replied to it lying that my wife told him to postpone the installation because we would invite an architect first. She really told him about the architect but only to keep a conversation and not to tell him to postpone the installation. Mr. Osborne promised to refund our money within two weeks. We waited and waited but there was no money. I tried to call Mr. Osborne but he never answered the phone. I sent him an email but he did not care to respond. In my opinion he saw us, two old people and decided that we were an easy prey. We are both senior citizens in our 80's and I think Mr. Osborne just took advantage of us. Today is September 1, 2022 and he still did not return our money. This person cannot be trusted and should be stopped from scamming people.
