We had major issues with this company. Although the foreman (had been with the company only three months) assured us he had much experience and would make sure everything is done and be careful around the plants, in the end he lied many times to us. The estimator was fine and assured at at the beginning that the team would be respectful and be as careful as possible and not damage plants or other. He assured us they would use an excavator that is 3 feet wide however they used a much larger one and did more damage. I would come home after work each day to find their garbage left everywhere, and various things damaged. One day I discovered a retaining wall broken and gravel strewn everywhere. Another day, it was that they cut half of a large mature rhodo right in front. Another day it was a broken window on the house. One day my husband took a day off work to be there and they didn't arrive until 2pm. I suggested they lay down tarp or board to not get gravel everywhere and to not damage the greenery. But they didn't care and the foreman blew me off and said they cannot take care of all the finer details. They did not put board down and now it will cost us $7000 to redo the lawn after the excavator wrecked it. But the cost to fix all that they damaged is at least $50000 They did not put board or tarp down so now there is gravel all over the property. When we spoke to the project manager, he told us to leave the guys alone and let them get the job done. So basically he was telling us we didn't have a right to care about the quality of their work on our own property when we are the ones paying for it! We expressed concerns and even asked for a different team to take over but we were ignored. We were told certain thins would happen and they did not. They were supposed to remove all the garbage, pieces of concrete other debris but instead they left it under the soil and on the property. They were supposed to separate the rock garden but instead they mixed all the rocks with the soil. There are many more problems I have not even mentioned here. Also the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They call everyone a "technician" which also makes things confusing. We very much regret having chosen this company to do this work and we also want to warn others so that they don't go through the same stress that we went through. Based on our experience we don't think they should be permitted to do this work on residential properties.
Absolute scam!! Billed us for triple the amount of time that the same job took previously, and triple them out of time that the other plumbers that I've had look at it claimed.
Not only did they bill us nearly $5,000 for a hot water tank, they actually attempted to bill us for time the plumber was not even here... only when they were called out and I could prove it by our surveillance cameras, did they agree to remove the time build. If you can't trust them to bill honestly for their actual time on site, how do you trust them to bill honestly for the work being done?
To add insult to injury, an hour after they left we had water leaking out of the ceiling 5 ft from where they were doing their work. call them in to have it looked at, and got a bill for that as well... another $235 on top of the $4800. how's that for standing behind your work?
I had argued our entire bill, they said they would wave the second service call.....yet today that charge hit my card too! So they fraudulently bill for hours not worked, bill for ridiculously more hours than is professionally accepted, and lie to you in person about your billing and charges! Garbage people, stay far far away!
I used to like Milani Plumbing. I used to know the old owner but he passed away. I still remembered the old owner used to greet every customers in the Burnaby's office. The customer service was friendly and I let Milani Plumbing take care of all my plumbing issues in all my rental houses. However, the customer service is really terrible now.
I booked an appointment with Milani on July 4th between 10am to 12pm. Thus, I canceled all my meetings in the morning and was waiting for the plumber to come. He did not come at 12pm. Then, Ron on the dispatch called me and rescheduled my appointment to July 5. The appointment is from 8am to 10am. Ron assured me that the technician would come and there was no need to receive a confirmation call. Again, I canceled all my meetings in the morning. I did not walk my dog. I waited until 10pm but the plumber did not come. I called twice and attempted to reach Ron at 10am. He was busy and never returned my calls. I called Milani Plumbing again at 10:45am and found out my appointment has moved to 2pm to 4pm without my prior knowledge.
Milani Plumbing does not value my time. Milani cancel and reschedule my appointments without any of my prior knowledge.
This is a terrible company now.
From the start of our service with Milani which started Sept 8th and involved test messages and phone calls, we have felt the service to be non professional. Prices and quotes can only be provided over phone, and for some reason they will not email or give written prices or quotes. After talking and discussing with Milani, mostly Dave, they gave us verbal costs for a new 50 gallon hot water tank. I asked multiple times for them to provide me the exact make and model of the tank so I could then look up product reviews, and more importantly product dimensions to ensure it would fit into the space we had. Milani was not able to give us the specific model they would supply and install, and that they would show up with a model they have in stock.
We agreed to proceed as we needed a hot water tank to replace our existing old tank that was failing, and now providing very low pressure that its nearly impossible to enjoy a hot shower. We booked in Tuesday 13th Sept for them to come and install the new tank, however they called that same morning saying they could not come today, and rescheduled until Wednesday 14th Sept. Mike P arrived to install, however as soon as he walked through the door he threw his hands up in the air and said they brought the wrong sized tank and would not be able to install it that day. He mentioned they would need a thinner and taller tank for the space we have. Mike was not helpful at all and simply handed us a $236.25 bill, which states they have my credit card. They then proceeded and charged us for a service that was not provided and only offered a bill credit if we proceeded and had them do the tank install.
Contacted Milani Plumbing for my plumbing needs and they sent David who was very courteous and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue and explained everything clearly. He was punctual. He quickly and efficiently installed the new garburator and the bathroom faucets. We are very pleased with the service and will definitely recommend Milani Plumbing and David to anyone needing a professional plumber. I give it 10 out of 10.

He answered all our questions, showed us how to clean the filters (which wasn't told to us at the time of installation) that this should be done monthly. Hence saving us money down the road. The job was to disconnect my condo dishwasher with no removal or disposal. Total cost $391.66 so basically $400. A little on the pricey side. They claimed that there were issues with the plumbing but there weren't any issues for the past 20 years and everything looked clean and in good order to my eyes. They did what was asked and then some more and billed me for the "some more" part after they said they wouldn't. They didn't send me the invoice for the "some more" part until after I complained about the charge on my charge card. Everything is said and done so it is what it is.
Bad experience with this company. Don't think they treat you like a family (what their CEO says). Had confirmed to install gas tankless boiler at agreeable costs. Nobody (even the salesman) told me it's only valid for 30 days. When my house is ready for installation, called them. Said they cannot do it at that price. Has to add $500 more as it's their peak season. As was in a tight schedule. Agreed to pay that gap. Then their technician told me that I've to call Fortis BC to change the meter (due to increase capacity). Did that and scheduled a time to come couple weeks later. Then Fortis BC came & ask me that my gas fitter has to reconnect it after they've done their part. Then called this company. Was told somebody would call me back. Never happened. Then called their manager next day. Never replied.
Was so disappointed about their customer services, business ethics which increase the previous agreeable installation costs. I chose them due to previous reviews but not sure whether it's all true. OR their service quality has been declined. Would NOT recommend them as a TRUSTED plumber.
If I could give less than a one star review I would. Terrible company to have come and do work for you! Their plumber Austin came and installed 3 taps and drains on sinks and 2 toilets....all 3 sinks leaked as did one toilet!! When I called them back to say they were all leaking and they needed to come back and fix them, they even charged me a service call directly to my visa without advising me or having me sign anything! Come to find out they cracked the one of my sinks and told me it must have been pre-existing! Maybe that is why he threw all the garbage all over the floor and in the sink! So I am left with damage to the floor (from leaking toilet) and needing to replace my sink What did his manager tell me.....it wasn't Austin's fault because he told them it wasn't, but they would refund the second call back call of $126 just because!! Like where is customer service and satisfaction! I would never recommend this company unless you want to spend additional money to fix their mess after they leave!
