Norm's put in a new sewer service for my property. Almost a year to the month I was having backup issues. A plumber from Norm's came out charged me $400 and said he had some concerns that I was having an issue so short a time after they did the work and after not finding anything wrong that we had done he said his company would probably not stand behind it.
About 9 months later I had the same issue and another $400 bill also no foreign matter in the lines that we had put there I talked to Dave and he told me well it passed inspection.
In April 2022 again same issue and Dave from Norm's promised to call back but didn't. Dave sent out a drain tile guy to put a camera down. The Drain tile guy had concerns and so did the City of Nanaimo but Norm's would not do anything to rectify. Have dealt with Norm's many times for small jobs but don't call them for larger ones they don't stand behind their work!!!!!!!!!

OUR HISTORY
Adding to what started as an oil burning and sewing machine service, Norm La Burge started Norm s Plumbing and Heating in 1971. Norm would mostly service mobile homes and became well known in Nanaimo. Shortly after, Orville Wagar purchased the company from Norm in hopes to start his entrepreneurial quest and build a life for himself in Nanaimo, though decided to keep the original name. After years of working in the trades, from instrumentation in Edmonton to leading crews on industrial jobs in northern B.C and Alberta, Orville knew he had what it takes to build himself a successful business.
Fast forward about 12 years, Orville had his son-in-law, Dave, working for him to help grow the business and learn the trade for himself. Norm s Plumbing and Heating took off; they grew a loyal customer base which valued the great customer service that Norm s offered.
Though the economy slowed down, Norm s still managed to keep Orville, Dave, and another plumber busy working hard. Through thick and thin, Norm s managed to stay afloat, always living by the same principle that got them through the rough times- great customer service.
Now, three of Dave s sons, two of whom are licensed plumbers and gas fitters, and the other who graduated which a bachelor s Degree in business, are continuing on with the family business.
Growing up in Nanaimo, they learned to appreciate the simplicity of the city, and have high hopes to carry the Norm s legacy for many years to come.
