I didn't see the first review before I hired this "so called" contractor otherwise I would not have hired him. He advertised on Kijji in various territories claiming to have 20+ years experience in renovations. He came dressed nicely, claimed to be Italian and living in Oakville Ontario, Trafalgar area. He brought a binder that had building permits and drawings from 2006. He also claimed to have worked with Mike Holmes and did the TV episode with a handicap child requiring a bathroom renovation. He showed pictures of jobs that were just completed and claimed to have 20 people that work for him and that he was currently doing 8 jobs from Stoney Creek, Hamilton through to Brampton. I signed a written Home Renovation Agreement with Peter Homes and contractor name of Peter Ignac,.to complete a bathroom renovation. I gave a $2,000 deposit, which he claims to put $1000 of that amount aside for supplies and the balance when the job is completed. On day 3 of the job, I had some red flags raised with the work that was completed and some of the conversations that I had with him. This lead me to the internet and facebook, where I discovered Peter Diaz, Peter's Homes, Peter's Home Contractor had several more names. P&D Contracting, Pedro Diaz. The next day I confronted him with all of these names, he told me his name is Peter Ignacio. I asked to see his driver's ID which obviously had a different name of Pedro Diaz LLaneza, who lives in Hamilton Ontario, not Oakville. I would suggest anyone to be very careful of this individual as he is not what he claims to be. I may share the facebook photo, along with more information on this individual so stayed tuned.
I have now noticed he has posted on Kijji under basement pour with PHRenovations2015@yahoo.com and Pedro Home Renovations he has the phone number of 289 689 8719 and now uses 289253 4254 Please add this information to my already posted regards Lorraine
This contractor advertises our of Kijiji in Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto and Brantford. The address is not correct on his profile here as we never gave us his correct address. We hired Peter Diaz of Peter's Home Renovations to complete our basement after just moving into our house. We signed a contract for an all inclusive amount after we went through what we were looking for and picked out tile, flooring, cabinets and vanity etc from samples he gave us. The contract was for 6 weeks but he indicated it wont take that long. After 11 weeks the project was not complete and he had collected almost 100% of our agreed amount. He stopped coming, he never purchased the cabinets, remaining doors, vanity or remaining flooring as he said he needed the money for. He left a pile of garbage in the unfinished space. We finally got in contact after several emails, texts and phone calls. He told us not to call him again and that he is no longer making money on this job and he wasn't putting in any more money to finish. Unless we paid him more money and purchased all the needed materials he wasn't coming back. He damaged the walls and hardwood in our new home. He breached the contract and tried to extort more funds. Do not hire this man. His whole business seems to be smoke and mirrors as after he stopped coming he cancelled his phone. The only way we finally contacted him was through his wifes cell phone that he forgot he gave us. He does not honour his contract, his workmanship is mediocre and he is not someone you want to trust your most vauable asset with ... Beware.
