There were a number of issues with this company. I would not recommend R & B plumbing at all.
First, they sent a guy to do a kitchenette rough in who didn't know what he was doing. He drilled 4 holes through my floor "looking" for the space between the joists to bring the pipe up. the cabinets and the sink were on site when he did the work. Only now did we learn that the pipes are short and we had to cut the cabinet base to align with where the pipes came up through the floor. It was poorly measured.
On the same day, the tech also welded a pipe that had a minor leak. He over saudered the pipe and blocked the cold water flow of the upstairs kitchen sink. What was supposed to be 3 hour job, took over 8 hrs. Then my bill came it was double the price. Not because of the additional hours because they made an errors and charged me 30ft of piping instead of 3ft.

I called them back to fix the upstairs kitchen sink that had no water pressure. They told me it was the faucet and not their issue and then billed me for the hour they took to investigate the problem. (the tech at the house stated that it was due to over saudering the pipe and debris clogging the faucet). But since it was the "faucet" and not their work, it was our problem. I negotiated that one and ending up not paying for the hour of diagnostic work but yet I still have a sink without water pressure.
Then, when we hooked up the original rough in for the kitchen, we discovered that the drain was over tightened and the plaster had cracked. We had a leak in our crawlspace. At least this time when I called them back, then came right away and fixed it without charge. The last tech (Malcolm) was great. He was the only person who was apologetic and competent.
Overall, it was poor service and poor workmanship and I would not recommend them at all.
In the case of this work, a policy issue within the company did not cause any problem; any error there may have been in our work or invoicing was human. The mark of a quality company is not whether or not their staff makes mistakes, but what happens afterwards. Billing queries were attended to and addressed without delay. The cracked part was replaced under warranty without question. All of this is the policy of a good company. Even the faucet, we offered to remedy but the customer advised us to leave it since she was doing a renovation of the entire kitchen and would be replacing it anyway.
This customer is correct that there was a clerical error on her invoice She is incorrect to conclude and advise that it makes R&B a bad company. I am an active owner of this company, and we work hard every day to provide honest quality service to our customers. We do that by hiring the best technicians that we can find and entrusting them to go out and fulfill our company mission of providing quality solutions for a fair price.
There are several claims in this review that are debatable, including the conclusion that an R&B technicians work was the cause of a failed faucet three months later after our time on site. Even with that doubt of the issues being our fault, R&B still addressed all of this customer s concerns by sending a senior technician to the site.
We acted in good faith and integrity in handling the issues that arose.
