Randy does not communicate. We had all kinds of trouble getting him to show up and to write an actual invoice. We had kitchen items go missing when he installed kitchen cabinets for us; we made the mistake of letting him work in our home without supervision. He was the so-called contractor on the job. He went ahead and selected lighting fixtures for us without checking to see if we liked them. He then installed maple cabinets which he himself rated 6/10 in terms of quality. When he installed them, he left huge gaping holes behind the stove and sink. In the stove area, it would have taken 10 minutes to duct tape them up. In the area of the sink, my husband had to precision cut some plywood, and duct tape the rest. As a result of this sloppy work, we had 11 dead mice in the kitchen in the fall of 2015. In the fall of 2014, there were no dead mice.
Randy's answer to his sloppy work was, get an exterminator, you have a 110 year old house. That's not good enough. The guy did not have the guts to come back and fix it.
My husband is working very long hours in Detroit. He fixed the problem, that Randy should have fixed, in several remedial stints. Attached is a picture of a dead mouse, and another drawer with mouse turds.
