I had Tim come and install wallpaper in my master bedroom. His communication prior to installation was simple and clear. All the work was completed to full satisfaction and with no surprises. The bedroom looks great.
Thanks Tim.
Tim was great. I found the company online, emailed him and he was able to get me a quote by email with me sending pictures/roll details. He arrived early and was ready to work. He did a wonderful job with my fancy damask print and was able to work efficiently to complete both walls in one day. He matched the large pattern and all the doorway, arches and wall edges we done professionally. I own two small businesses myself so I appreciated his passion to his craft, his attention to detail and his friendliness. I have more projects for Tim and I will recommend him to my patients, family and friends. Two thumbs way up!
Great experience with Tim! Was quick to respond to my inquiry and was very knowledgeable. Did a flawless job on the wallpaper which was done in a timely fashion. Would definitely reccomend as he made the experience quick and painless all while doing a wonderful job!
Just had my wallpaper installation completed by Tim - owner and wallpaper installer. He did an outstanding job. I had another quote from another company and chose Tim as he was easy to deal with, friendly and professional - it was clear he knew his stuff.
He arrived 10 minutes early ( always a good sign ) and came with all his tools including a special wallpaper table that he set up -he was very organized.
He worked methodically and quietly in our very small guest bathroom and performed the work with a keen eye for detail. He was communicative, and open and gave me options during our initial consultation based on the amount of ( expensive) paper I had. The end result was beautiful, and done to a very high standard.
Tim himself was a very nice guy, and I am pleased to know that I have now found my go-to wallpaper guy in the city. Highly recommend.
Tim did an excellent job. He was quick to respond to my initial enquiry and advised me with respect to the amount of wall paper I needed. He showed up on time and accommodated my schedule. The install itself was great. All seams line up and are virtually invisible. When he left, all mess was cleaned up. I would definitely use him again.
This is not the first time I have used Tim for wallpaper installation and both times the service was exceptional! Both wallpapers were a difficult pattern and Tim had no issues. He even helped me figure out how much wallpaper I would need. I would highly recommend Tim and will certainly use his expertise in installation in the future.
I was very pleased with my experience in working with Tim. He came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. We chose a wallpaper that had somewhat of a challenging pattern but, Tim made it work! Our wallpaper turned out beautifully and I'm so happy with the end result!
Tim was punctual, professional and pleasant to work with. I hope to have him back to install wallpaper in our powder room so, I would definitely hire him again for future projects.
I wish I had seen the other review before I hired Tim Jessop. His written professionalism initially impressed me, but overall his work was sloppy, and he wasted a lot of my wallpaper, not to mention my time and money. The day he came to install, he mismatched the damask type patterned wallpaper, which I should have taken as a clue he was an overpriced amateur.
The following week he returned with more wallpaper (he did cover the cost of replacing a roll), but installed it so shoddily I'm embarrassed to admit how much I paid him. He pointed out some flaws with the paper that would have prevented perfect alignment, but his installation only exacerbated those flaws. He mentioned "a professional cuts the paper in the corners" (I think he meant to say "he cuts corners"), and explained there would be a slight overlap and mismatch in the corners, otherwise there would a gap when the wallpaper dried. Fine. I expected maybe a millimetre or two of overlap, not 3/4 of an inch. Furthermore, he insisted I would need one more roll in addition to replacing the one he ruined on that first day, and cut through all the rolls I had, but left more than one roll as waste which isn't really usable for another project.
His clean up was pathetic--I found two utility knife shards on the floor (I'm thankful I found them before I brought my dog back home that day), and glue dripped on the hardwood. To add insult to injury he insisted I pay $150 more than his original quote saying he had a hard time calculating the measurements (even though I had given him photos of every angle of the room, measurements, and a copy of the floor plan), and when I tried to negotiate the increase in fee, he said it was only fair because he'd covered the cost of the air freight to order the extra paper (the air freight for the paper to replace the one he ruined, and the one he insisted I needed, but ended up just cutting into useless strips). I regret it now, but at the time I just wanted him out of my home and so paid him the extra money.
Do not make the mistake of hiring this man--he is exactly the kind of "contractor" that gives true professionals a bad name. It's a shame really, because I know there are some fantastic contractors out there, but it's people like Tim Jessop who make me reluctant to hire them.
Dear Ashely,
I am quite surprised to find such a negative review form you. You were very happy with the installation when I left your house. I wish you would have been courteous enough to call me and discuss what you were unhappy with, rather than just jump to the internet to express your frustrations.
I would have gladly rectified any grievances you had, even if that meant purchasing paper and installing it at my own cost. I went over the details of the install with you at your house. It being a heritage house with plaster walls, many corners and mouldings were out of plumb.
I did mismatch the first roll and I immediately replaced that roll at my own cost and I had it ordered and installed in less than a week.
There are always two sides to every story. I have hundreds of satisfied happy clients. I pride myself on quality work, competitive pricing, professional courtesy and client satisfaction
Thank you.
Tim Jessop is NOT a qualified wallpaper installer. His work is horrible and his customer service skills are seriously lacking. The horizontal lines of the wallpaper do not line up at all in any of the 11 seams, he scratched my floors and got glue all over a wood ceiling. He refuses to fix the situation and claims to not be able to do any better anyway. I later found out there is a guild, NGPP, and we only have 2 qualified wallpaper installer members in Calgary and both said it was a poor job. I will instead hire one of them. Save yourself the cost of having to buy paper twice, pay for removal, and have a huge hassle and do not use Tim Jessop's services.
