I had a small slow pinhole leak in a pipe in the basement washroom. I removed the sink, cabinet and the drywall on both sides of the wall to find the leak in an easily accessible pipe. The total area affected was about the size of one drywall sheet for both sides of the wall. Not a big job.
Called Taylors plumbing and was assured they would fix the pipe, drywall and re-install the sink.
The plumber arrived with no mask (not a good sign). Evaluated the job and provided an estimate of $389 to fix just the pipe. Seemed high but I wanted drywall and sink installed and was willing to pay the higher price. All in all, it was a few small projects that would make the job worthwhile for Taylors. I could have done the work myself but being retired, I just wanted someone to handle the whole thing.
I approved the high price based on them carrying out the rest of the work to avoid having to find different people to complete the job. Fixing the leaking problem involved cutting away the 1/2” copper pipe in a T shape and mortising a new 4 foot pipe in place, a simple job that that took no more than 30 minutes.
All the work was within easy access due to my having removed the drywall, sink and cabinet.
On his way out he called head office at which point I asked about the drywall yet again and was told that I would be contacted the following day.
Taylors never bothered to call.
Needless to say, I am not pleased with their combination of high price and extremely poor level of service.
Rob and Josh came and fixed one toilet and replaced another.
Explained everything - gave quotes again explained everything.
Excellent job did everything at one so no downtime.
Neat tidy personable and just really nice men.
Would highly recommend. Thankyou Lynn Taylor
Worst service, called them to locate and take out missong drain snake, plumber listned half heartedly to the issue and without checking washroom or basement gave verdict that he has to rip open dry wall. Than they heard that problem is in the basement and cut the main sewage pipe coming down from second floor to basement. Than they figured out the problem is on the first floor so now they made a whole in the dry wall. Finally they found the problem is in the vent pipe now wanted to cut main piple in ceiling to confirm it. I had to stop him to cause further damage to the property and stop the ever increasing bill. In the end I was down by $760 and he still couldn't find missing snake. When I told him to stop he was trying to upsell me another service to find out the snake ??. No proper tools and not trust worthy at all, NEVER recommend anyone to hire them.
I'm sorry we weren't able to provide you with the quality of service that you thought was required for this type of job. As licensed Plumbers with years of experience there is a certain process that is followed in this type of job which requires some exploring. One thing Taylor's Plumbing does not do and that is upsell, as a matter of fact we don't sell anything. What we do is provide the customer with some pricing after first asking all the important questions. At this time the customer chooses what amount of money they would like to spend or maybe nothing at all, it's all up to the customer. Thank you for providing us with this review although it wasn't good nobody is beyond some criticism from time to time. I would recommend in the future you hire a professional to clean your drains instead of doing it yourself I'm sure it will cost a lot less money.

Master Plumber
This year (2017) we have had a considerable amount of plumbing repairs, bringing everything up to code in our older home. The work was done by Neil from Taylor's Plumbing and he did a great job. However; recently we had a small leak from what turned out to be a faulty pipe and in addition we were having trouble getting water pressure to our garden hose; so we called Taylor again. This time time the repair was carried out by Mike Roach. Mike assessed the situation, got to work and did a fantastic job, we now have pressure in the garden that would knock you over. Mike was very pleasant, listens carefully to what you have to say and gets the job done. Call Taylor for your plumbing needs.
