Do NOT use this company if you expect professionalism. Three times they blew us off, didn't return phone calls and showed up at times we asked them not to.
Edit: Just got off the phone with the owner who could not care less that he lost our business. Stay FAR away from this company.
Edit 2: the rebuttal from your company must be a joke. Not once was any of this communicated to us. In the 2.5 months since this was originally supposed to be done no one ever said anything about the crew being stuck on another job. In fact we got a completely different story from your office when we were told you did not have enough materials to do our job. This is after numerous calls to even find out why no one showed up twice. Not to mention letting yourself into our backyard with no adult on site. We did not choose to cancel with you because the crew left on Wednesday. We cancelled due to the response from the person we were told is the owner of the company. We have never been treated with less care by any company ever and fully regret not choosing someone else.
Edit #3: new rebuttal. New story as to why. I'm gonna guess at which one of the three stories is the truth.
Michelle, Thank you for your review. All reviews assist us in becoming a better company. I can understand you feel you were blown off. We tried to communicate with you what was happening and believed we had done an adequate job discussing matters with you on the phone. We had tremendous difficulty obtaining the soffit material because of severe supply constraints. We assigned a crew to do the work on your home. However, one person on that crew fell sick and could not work with the crew for two weeks. This delayed your job. When this crew finally came to your house last week, there was a large obstruction on the south side of your house. They set up the ladders on that side and did not deem it safe to climb the ladders. To work safely on this area of your home, this side requires scaffolding. I apologize as I should have seen this when I did the quote. As a result, I came to your house on Friday to measure for scaffolding. At that time, you were not at home but I took the measurements for the scaffolding. It was my intention to pay for the scaffolding because it was my mistake. When I phoned intending to discuss the scaffolding with you, all I can say is, well, I got an immediate earful which ended with you informing me you wanted to cancel. Because of your demeanour and verbiage, I certainly did not try to dissuade you from cancelling the job and agreed with you it was probably the best thing for you and us. We wish you and Frank all the best and every success with your home renovation. Sincerely, Wendell Leytham, Owner
We are a condominium complex and we needed to get new eavestrough on our 25 year old buildings. We've seen other complexes next door hire the roofers to do their eavestroughs and those complexes have all had problems. We did not want to repeat this mistake and we decided to get quotes from companies that specialize in eavestroughs. Our choice was The Eavestrough Company. They came last Fall and did a very good job. They were very conscientious and explained everything to our owners. All in all we are all happy with their work. We would recommend them to other home owners and condo corporations.
We were in need of new eaves. Contacted the Eavestrough Company based on their internet reviews. The result? Scheduling was seamless (pun intended), and the estimate provide very thorough and professional. We hired them and the job looks great. In all we had a seamless experience getting our new seamless eavestrough.
I am VERY happy with the work The Eavestrough Company did on my house. The customer service I received was top notch. Wendell answered all of my MANY questions and listened to all my concerns before I agreed to the work. After the work was completed, I wanted to change the direction of a downpipe and he was prompt responding.
It's VERY hard to find a good contractor who cares and does good work. I think The Eavestrough Company surpasses many in workmanship, knowledge, pricing, and TREMENDOUS customer service. I'm going to recommend them without hesitation.
I called a few companies regarding replacing eavestrough on my house and garage. It was difficult to nail someone down with a day they could come out. I contacted The Eavestrough Company and they schedule me in within days. I called them to accept the estimate the day after. My job was done about 4 weeks later, just before Christmas. I am in business myself and I was very impressed with their organization and workmanship. I would recommend this company if you need eavestroughing!
Three no shows. Poor communication. Promise of a break on the invoice that did not occur as the owner stated he forgot to add something on the quote so that would suffice for the discount. Siding fell off the house (in a small area) the day after installation. The eaves, facia and soffit work was good but too many no shows to trust.
Dear Randy. We are extremely disappointed on our part that we did not meet your expectations. Yes. we agree, we did have to come to your house 3 times and there were a couple delays in the start date. We will accept all responsibility for this. Let me explain some of the delays and answer some questions:
1. My installer, Maren, that was assigned to do the job on your house had some personal family issues that could not be avoided. His wife was 8 months pregnant at the time and she has diabetes. Right about the time we were starting your job, she began having health concerns and Maren missed many days of work as she was in and out of hospital.
2. When we were finally able to start your job, Gentek (one of our suppliers) did not have the Olivewood siding in stock. We delayed the job because we like to do it all at once. However, Gentek informed us that it was going to be nearly 3 weeks to get this in and we did the main part of your house and decided to return for the siding on the sunroom. During the delay between the time of the main house and the sunroom, Maren's wife delivered their baby.
3. Because of the delay I did offer you a discount. When we talked 2 days ago, I added your two gable peaks of fascia and soffit on for free. This would have cost an $480. I thought this was a very generous offer and would be satisfactory. If you believe an additional discount is necessary, by all means, please contact us and we can discuss a larger discount for the inconvenience.
4. The siding repair was a very simple fix that I attended to promptly.
In the end, I think you and I both agree, the job done is flawless and your house looks spectacular. We are also happy to announce a new addition to our Eavestrough Company team. Angelina came into this world weighing 7 lbs 3 oz and mother and daughter are doing great! I wish you and your family all the best Randy. I also want to thank you for taking the time to review us! Even negative reviews help us to help us work on our customer service and becoming a better company!
