I hired this guy on January 13 and by February 9, he still had not completed the job -- during the nicest winter we've had in decades. I've since discovered that he is not licensed. He didn't even do half the job (although he said that it was half done and asked me to pay him half of the money, which I foolishly did). What he did complete, he did a terrible job on -- I will definitely never hire him again.
Mary was a very difficult customer to deal with, we had explained that we were extremely busy and it would take some time to complete her roof as it was winter and we were very busy. She was very panicked and needed a leak fixed on her roof immediately and we took care of the leak right away for her. We explained that the rest of her roof should be done in the spring as the roof is very steep. Half the job was completed and the job was absolutely perfect. We are not a company who cuts corners, we have never had a recall and take great pride in our work. Our workers have been doing this for more than 20 years.
We had tried to make compromises with Mary but she was very demanding and very insulting.
We do have a business licence and have showed this to her.
We have tried on several occasions to go back to finish the project as we had some free time but when we arrived we had noticed that all our tools, ladders, safety gear was gone. Mary had taken our equipment and returned the material. How were we suppose to finish the job when our tools, safety gear and ladders.. and the material was not on site!
We had learned that she returned the materials because perhaps she couldn't afford the job and she taken our tools... which still to date have not been returned! We have contacted the proper authorities regarding this.
