Despite unavoidable weather related delays, the Repaint Guys managed to power wash and subsequently paint the siding as required.
We were not there to monitor the processes but did inspect the house the day after job was completed. Cannot say enough good things about the quality of paint used and the work they performed. We have no ideas how they managed to paint the siding without getting so much as a speck of paint on the brickwork, , brick planter, stucco, or window frames!
The site was left tidy and the workers even left some paint in the event touch-ups were needed in the future.
Everyone we dealt with was polite, knowledgeable, and effective. Received an initial quote and an invoice upon completion of the work. Totally pleased. They deserve a 10 star rating! Would most definitely recommend.
Found this company online and we are super happy with the work! They repaired our roof where there was damage from removing our old cabinets that had a bulkhead. They also painted the entire kitchen. Work was done in a very timely manner and the price was reasonable! Would definitely recommend!
I am disappointed with the work by The Repaint Guys. There are a few issues, the most egregious, inexcusable, and unacceptable for me is how much paint they got on my hardwood floors. It’s small droplets everywhere that have to be scraped off. They also got paint on my bedroom carpets, which does not just wipe off, and on two of my window screens.
That professional painters would be so messy and inconsiderate of my property is unfathomable. They should have used more drop sheets, been more careful, and cleaned up as they went. I shouldn’t be stuck cleaning up an extensive mess that never should have happened in the first place. If I wanted to crawl around on my hands and knees scraping paint off things and using Goo Gone on my carpet, I would have just done the painting myself. The painters were quite cavalier about the paint drops, saying it would just vacuum up. After two rounds of cleaning and spending an hour scraping paint off things myself, I can state confidently there is still paint on the floors that will not just vacuum up.
Second issue: they charge extra for feature walls because of the “extra work” involved in making sure the colours don’t bleed together at the corner where they meet. The corners of my two feature walls are incredibly sloppy looking with exactly the bleed this “extra work” was supposed to avoid. The painter said the wall isn’t straight and has bumps, dings, etc which prevent a straight line. If that’s the case, they should communicate that they will only be able to achieve subpar results and even suggest alternatives instead of leaving me to see it and being dissatisfied. I felt there wasn’t justification for the extra charge and that I could have achieved the same results.
Third issue: time management. I feel they rushed to try and finish on Thursday, which led to sloppiness and missing a lot of things. When I met them at 7pm, there were several obvious areas on the walls that required touch-ups; these include around cover plates where there was obvious unpainted wall showing, around closet doors, around jambs, etc.
Fourth issue: poor and inconsistent communication. When a quote was scheduled, it was at a time suggested by the painter. But he never showed. He only called two hours later saying he was late (no kidding); we were still nearby and met him. I guess he assumed it was my current residence and it didn’t matter if he was late or communicated. Even if it had been my residence, that’s disrespectful of my time and lacks basic courtesy. On Thursday while at the house, the main painter spent most of the time talking on the phone. This made it incredibly difficult to talk about the deficiencies and felt quite disrespectful to me.
Outcome: on Thursday, we communicated they should come back the next day to address many of the issues. The best thing I can say is there was no argument. When I met them Friday afternoon, the painter had done another round of cleaning and the house looked much better. However, there is still paint on my carpets, hardwood, and screens. We went room by room doing touch ups and I was satisfied with that.
How the house looked on Friday is how it should have looked on Thursday, at a minimum. If they’re going to be so incredibly and unreasonably messy, a second round of cleaning should be their standard procedure—but as far as I’m concerned, there’s zero justification for the mess in the first place. I wonder if because my house was vacant they felt they didn’t have to be as careful. However, approximately 700 square feet of hardwood floors is probably the most expensive thing in my house. I remain dissatisfied with my feature walls. Also, the main painter again spent a decent amount of the time on Friday talking on the phone.
I'm sorry you feel that way to Shawna but I'm sure you're happy with the results of your paint job has it was a major renovation and there was tremendous effort to put extra work into the walls as there were a few hundred runs from the previous painters that we had to repair free of charge. We are at your disposal if you need additional cleaning to be done from drops of paint. During this project we did use drop sheets and the drinks were not intentional as we were using a product purchased by yourself that was giving us a lot of issues because the Home Depot paint would not stop dripping and splashing offer rollers creating projectiles. We never use this product ourselves for obvious reasons but it was a insisted upon and we did our best to oblige. As for your feature walls we typically use frog tape to create a straight line but the walls addressed for feature walls were outside facing walls that had failed insulation causing them to be too cold to have any tape stick to them so we had to free hand them but the corners were not straight either. Again if you want any touchups we are more than happy to oblige. That Thursday was dark outside and inside and I believe I insisted that we do the touch-ups the following day during natural light. We are more than willing to address any of these issues and willing to bring over a portable heating system so we can address those feature walls
I can't say enough about The Repaint Guys! They were prompt, courteous and cleaned up their mess impeccably. But the most important detail is that they did an AMAZING job! My house was in severe need of a good paint job, and by the time they were done, the house looked brand new! They genuinely cared about doing a great job, and they did it with a smile on their face. Not one detail was missed. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! I look forward to getting my outside painted this summer!
Thank you to Ian and his team for doing such an amazing job!

Thank you Jim and I hope to do business again.
The Repaint Guys were found by my boyfriend online when we needed help to paint our condo to sell. I have to meet them though and I felt comfortable communicating with them throughout the whole process. We were on a pretty aggressive timeline and when I talked to them on a Tuesday, they were able to come paint the condo the weekend right after! They were pleasant and funny and very clear of what they expect from us homeowners which resulted to them being able to do the work smoothly. The boyfriend works night shift and sleeps halfway through the day and they were accommodating. As a lady sometimes contractors talk to you differently because of being a woman but I didn't get that vibe at all. Then when they did the final touch-ups after a few renovations, the condo was ready to see and it did quickly! We will contact them again if we need painting done in the now larger house we moved in to. Tip for clients: it really helps for painters if you move your stuff away from the walls and if you communicate clearly. It goes both ways.
