Parking Lot Repairs

I'm looking into what it will take to repair or replace the Electrical Hookup/Plug in Standards in a Hotel Parking Lot. They have concrete bases about eighteen inches high with steel poles that extend up to give a finished height of about four feet. I am looking to verify that they are still up to code but there is nothing in the Alberta Building code that specifies any regulations for these. Where would i find some regs?

Hi Kyle

They would have to comply with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), any Alberta amendments and any specific requirements that the owner has. I can't imagine that there would be anything else to deal with.

Rules are different for block heater receptacles then they are for general purpose outdoor receptacles.
