I am looking to install a pool that I plan to inclose for all year use. I can't find anyone in canada that installs a pool that is insulated on the sides and bottom of the pool. The cost to install the pool is only the begining and I am more conserned with the on goimg cost to heat a large pool all year long. With the cost of heat on the climb is there anyone that has an answer to the best way to insulate the pool from top to bottom.

Doug,

Have you thought of spray foam insulation applied to the bottom and sides of the pool before you set it into the ground?

Spray foam usually has five times the R value of pink insulation, so you wouldn't need that much of it.

Need to ask a spray foam specialist about how long the foam would last in this application.

Best to have great drainage (i.e. 3/4' stone) all around the pool to decrease rot.

Best,

Andrew
