Auto switch off electrical stove range (cooker)

There are so many different brands and models for a flat top electrical stove (30 " in width)!

Are all of the brands comparable in their lifespan and reliability?

I would prefer a flat top rage because it will be easier to clean compared to the 4 ring burner.

Apart from that what are the other things that I should look for?

I am not a sophisticated cooker so I just require the basic features but for a good price.

However SAFETY comes first in terms of fire. I want a VERY SAFE (FROM FIRE) electrical range (cooker) $800+ NO RISK OF FIRE EVER. AUTO OFF FUNCTION where the range would shut off by itself after X mins of "inactivity" Is there such a thing as this in Ontario? If I forgot to switch off the cooker/stove, then the cooker/range would switch itself off to avoid a fire in the house.

Thanks

Hi there.....

Sorry......no expertise, except for the fact you need a dedicated wire/fuse/disconnect....probably 220 V

Hope this helps anyway.

Hi

First stick with people who make stoves, that said the more electronics the faster they die, but the better they work, planed obsolescents.

Yes they make auto off stoves and add on's that plug in to the walls 240ac, stove plugs in to that. Price for stove with auto would start at around 1800 and for add on would be around 800 and up used with exiting stove.

hope this helps
