Thank you for your replies I appreciate it. @Dan that cost is for a repair to a damp ceiling too?

Hi Varun,

If the ceiling is damp, contractor should do further research - cause of water (leak from plumbing, leak from outside etc.) before ceiling is repaired. With small leaks it is possible to patch, however if there are signs of mold due to prolonged exposure to water a greater portion of the drywall will need to be removed and disposed properly as an abatement.

Your best course of action is to have a contractor come to your property, inspect and provide a quote for the remediation. Please see attached files as an example of water damage repair performed due to leaking drain pipes.

The ceiling patching that you posted at picture of above would take 3 visits to patch up for $450 plus material
