Are handicap steps (3.5" riser, 22-24" depth) allowed under the Ontario Building Code as an alternative to a ramp? They are meant to allow a user to get up using a frame walker. I don't see anything in the code other than regular step dimensions.
Hi Kate
I cannot see any height of riser being allowed
as handicap access under the Ontario building code. Ramp is the only way to go even if you must Zig Zag because of area ,I believe this is the only way it can be done.
