I have a bulge due to a vent pipe in the wall at the back corner of the bathroom. Trying to install a marble vanity top and the front edge near the door is 3/8 inches from the wall and only a couple of inches from the door trim. Can't build up the wall because it is so close to the trim and the gap is about the same size as the thickness of the trim. Any way to sand down the drywall to make the wall square without compromising the integrity of the drywall?
This is common in a lot of bathrooms since most walls are not a true 45 corner. I recommend you go wherever you bought the vanity countertop from and ask them for a backsplash for the side and you silicone it onto the countertop so it matches the countertop then you caulk around it easy peasy half an hour job if you cannot find it from where you bought your existing vanity and countertop contact a granite and quartz company in your local area they will be able to cut you one very reasonably priced. Trust me it's the quickest fix and looks the best for your issue
