Hello, if I use drywall to patch a large area on a lath and plaster wall, how do I cover the Sean's? Can I use fiber tape and plaster patch?

Thank you!

Yes you can use Fiber tape. I always use paper tape it's better but fibre tape will work for wall patches I do not recommend using it on ceilings I find it cracks overtime.

I use fiber tape for drywall to plaster. You may also want to check out lee valley. They sell plaster washers that work very well to prevent any further plaster crumbling along the seam.

Suggest you hire a pro for this.

Not for beginners or DIY.

May have to replace the entire wall.

Best,

Andrew
