Replacing a gutter

I just purchased an older home and plan on replacing the roof. However the gutter on one side is not functioning at all. It creates a muddy mess all along the foundation with pools of water and may have added to a crack in the foundation.

Should I wait until this spring to have it done after the roof is replaced?

Thank you

Hi there if the gutters are causing Foundation problems. I would strongly recommend having them replaced before the spring. What is going to happen is water is going to get into the crack and freeze. Then expand causing more damage to the foundation. Normally the roof is done before the gutter but in the circumstances.I would probably recommend doing the gutters before the roof
