20 years old 16x12 single-level pressure treated deck adjacent to a sunroom.
I purchased enough Timbertech materials/boards to cover the area and I thought I'd do it myself, but I changed my mind.
I can remove the existing deck.
Looking for someone to design and build the new deck.
Thanks,
Dan
The neighbour has done a survey, which gives me back about 3 feet of property. The current fence is functional but will probably need replacing in the next couple of years, I would like an estimate on the whole fence and also for the one side. I will need to get a survey on the other side if the whole yard option is chosen. I would like the job done as soon as possible as this this the garden side of my yard. The deck is also an option.
Hello,
I would like to obtain a budget quote for a deck. Has an easily accessible back lane for delivery of materials and equipment.
The deck will measure 24’-4” X 10’ (not including stairs). It will have 2 tiers, one 2’ high with a width of 15’ with 2 steps, and another one will be 1’ high with a width of 15’ with 1 step. See attached drawing for further details.
In terms of materials, I’m leaning towards composite, but I would also like a quote on treated wood. Please split the quotes between material and labor. And please add a delivery charge for material, if any.
Please also advise when the material could be delivered and when construction could begin.
On another note, I am also interested in some patio stones around the deck. Do you do landscaping jobs besides decks? Perhaps that could be discussed when you come to scope the job.
Thank you,
Eamonn
In front of sliding doors to a deck attached to the house the floor is getting soft and has a dip there! Water from the roof, in passed years made its way down the wall close too the sliding doors, under the cantilever there is some rotten wood. Sliding doors are not Square ! Drywall shows there has been water damage. I have moment in the roof from a main support wall in the same area as the floor ( cracking the ceiling ) estimated area 5 feet from the door 6 feet from the door where everything seems to be happening, I believe the floor may be rotten causing all this to happen
Hello,
Would you be interested in quoting on replacing the shingles on my old cedar shed? The roof is a gable style with each side being 11' wide by 5' deep for a total of about 110 sq ft. Some of the decking might need replacing as well. I would like to have this done before the end of this summer. Please let me know. Thanks
The Property – 5 acres +/- with 450 ft of waterfront. Part lawn, other part heavily treed. Near Clandeboye, MB
Our “Terrace” project is the first part of a large landscaping/exterior project which will be done in stages. Future aspects of the project will include planters, siding replacement, replace one (possibly two) doors with sliding patio doors, renovation or total reconstruction of gazebo, build beach fire pit and patio area, build retaining wall along the beach, increase beach area, gated entry………….
First steps include a general clean up of the property – removal of dead trees and brush, general pruning, clean up of flower beds and the number one priority, installation of a terrace.
We require a "terrace" - as opposed to a patio at ground level or a raised, wooden deck. We’re looking at a combination of the two. We want a solid, stone, raised structure, preferably one level, but would settle for two. Overall size would be approx. 20’ x 30’. No square corners.
We'd like to step right out of the sunroom onto the terrace without having to go down any steps. No railings or other barriers. We want to enjoy the view while reclining on our lounge chairs drinking our morning coffee. As the terrace will be raised at least 2-3 feet, we'll put a stone "rail" about 18" high and about 12-15" wide around the perimeter. This will provide a barrier as well as extra seating if needed. To meet code requirements, a tiered flower bed is needed along the perimeter. Should someone happen to fall, the drop would be about 18 inches -- right into Grandma's flowers!!
Considerations – One door must be eliminated or raised, air conditioner must be raised or moved, well head access needed. We are working overseas and have limited time in Canada. Would like to have terrace completed before the end of August.
Would like to receive quotes from contractors and/or landscape designers.
I am looking for someone to build a wooden deck for a new house. Size 14x14ft, 24ft above ground. Railing 3 sides with a 3ft long stairs. A leger board needs to be installed on the house. Gravel has been compressed on the spot. How much do you charge for labor? And what time frame are you available?
Thank you
I’m looking for someone to do a couple of jobs around my house, specifically:
1) Both my front and back gates don’t close properly. One is an old post, the other only 2 years old
2) My deck needs to be repainted. It’s pressure treated wood and I painted it myself about 8 years ago. I’m told I didn’t properly prepare the wood before painting. Now all the paint is peeling off. So I think old paint needs to be stripped off, wood properly prepared and painted.
If this is something you’d do, I’d like an estimate for the work.
