One car garage with electric door and loft
House approximately 20 years old
Electrical work needed... garage door opener needs its own outlet. Currently using an extension cord
Insulation (preferably spray foam), vapour barrier, and drywalling required
There is a small "deck" with stairs leading from the interior of the house to the garage. Stairs lead towards garage door. Would prefer that this "deck" be turned so that the stairs lead down the rear of the garage so as not to take up so much space. Railing will need to be reconfigured to allow this to happen.
Garage is not heated. Depending on cost, possible interest in installing a heating unit so the garage can be used as gym/man cave during the winter
Please quote with and without heating unit, and with spray foam and fibreglass insulation. Please detail quote with individual prices for each task so decision can be made as to what work will be done, and what may have to wait until later.
Work MUST be completed between 15th and 20th of June (between closing date and move-in date).

I have a wall that is to be remove between my kitchen and dining area and I required an LVL beam installed. The wall on the one side has all the drywall removed so you can see exactly what your getting into. The total length of the wall is 21 foot 9 and I require the existing two openings in the dining area to be framed in at 58" inches each. All materials will be removed with very little demolition to be done. Only the existing stud walls will have to be cut out and exisiting header. But I need to know if I can keep the exising header. I think not and a new more sturdy beam be applied. Ceilings are 102 inches high there is good clean access to the roof to inspect the rafters if need be. I can take pictures and forward. Ultimately this wall will be have a large gradual arch. Depending on the price I may have you do it all. There is also drywall in the kitchen that I have ripped out. 12 sheets in total to be applied. I prefer some one to do it all but obviously price is a factor. My main goal is to have this beam installed arch framed in and then moved forward. I have pictures of exactly how to do the arch. And the wood colums to be installed. Simple installation as well. Please email me with details of working experience. And then we can set up a meeting. As you can see I am not kicking tires as I have already begun the demo process. I would love to have this done at your earliest convienence.
My husband and I are putting an offer on a home that has an unfinished loft. Framing and electrical are in place only. We want to finish it with a 3 price bathroom. It requires insulation, drywall, pot lights etc.
Can someone please give me a call to discuss approx. Pricing and availability. We would want this done upon taking possession of the home and may bridge the financing to allow contractors to get in before we move. Thank you
On the main floor: to enlarge kitchen (remove wall between kitchen and mudroom), install new tiled floors in the kitchen, install new duct and wall mounted 48€ exhaust hood, install new light fixtures, update all switches, to run new waterlines and drain to future island sink and refrigerator. To build a new mudroom with entrances from garage and the kitchen. Re-grout marble floors in foyer and hallway, enlarge closet in the foyer. Replace baseboards and door trim throughout main floor. Completely renovate powder room. In several rooms: to remove stucco and make smooth ceilings, install crown moldings and wainscoting, refinish hardwood floors, paint walls.
In the walkout basement: completely renovate 2 bathrooms, combine two bedrooms into one by removing wall in between, to remove all broadloom and install new laminated/engineered or bamboo floors throughout the basement, some wainscoting and crown moldings, light fixtures, paint walls.
House is 15-17ish years old in north bowmanville. We though water leak was caused by loose flashing on top of garage. I re-caulked window and had new roof done recently but roofers did not see any water damage on garage roof top.
Not sure if any interior damage is present but we want to have interior wall in bedroom under window opened and remove drywall in roof of garage where it has leaked down to inspect for water damage (mold) before going forward with possible window replacement from wood to vinyl. Window is in bad condition...even roofers commented it is rotten and needs attention.
I am looking to get this work done around April or May. My house is a two storey, around 2500 sq ft. The windows are very old, and fairly large. Average window is approximately 3' x 5' and there is 16 in total(not all large). For siding, I want to do vinyl, although open to other options. The original part of the house(front) is painted wood siding. This part of the house was built in 1880. The back (larger) part of the house is all brick and was built in 1912. I want to put styrofoam over the brick before siding it because the walls are not insulated. Tin soffet and facia as well. What I am after is a crisp new look, as well as an easier home to heat. The driveway is gravel, but I have enough pavers already there to do the driveway(approx. 800 sq ft.) and would like to get a quote for the install. There may be potential for a garage beside the house, but this work is more important.
I bought a $300 10x10 metal shed from Canadian tire and would like to set in up in the backyard. It is currently in a box. There is a very thin base on the bottom. The backyard has grass, so slabs are needed to make a stable foundation to sit on.
Would like to grow veggies and was thinking about creating 3 planters in the backyard.
Front entrance small area has interlocking stones sinking. Need to take out, restabilize foundation, and put back. Area to be covered approx 4ft by 6ft.
Please give a separate estimate for each work. Pls in your quote the description of your work, duration of work, warranty on your labour should anything need to be fixed.
Thank you.
So I would like quotes for a few projects.
1. Remove a glass cabinet. Remove the wall behind it. Add a wall to cover the space. A little harder than it sounds - it's a huge, awkward cabinet - a "must see".
2. Add a bathroom to second floor bedroom (including the rough-in)
3. Adding 2 windows to a wall (second story)
Looking for a jack of all trades. Alot of work required in our home from the foundation to a whole kitchen reno, bathrooms, floors, etc. Not looking for the kitchen of my dreams, just one that is not dated and functional.
Wanting to sell home, but needs to be updated/fixed before doing so.
Please only message if you can start within the next 2 weeks at the latest! Asap would be great. Thanks.
Hi, I have a house in Bowmanville. There was a leak in the sky light a few years ago and some water damage showed up quite awhile after it was repaired, and was never fixed. We just had a fire in the back of the house and am not staying there at this time so thought it would be the best time to get it fixed. Its a 2 storey with the skylight right above the stairs. I think it is wall paper and am not sure what has to be done to get it to look finished. I also have some spindles to replace at the top of the staircase. Cat damage. The carpeting on the stairs is going to be replaced so again, the right time. There is also a bit of painting to be finished. We are in a hotel right now waiting for renos in the back of the house. If I could get a quote for repairs and approx. time it could be done it would be appreciated. Thanks
We have a fairly large project to add wheelchair accessibility to our parish. This will require us to add a doorway from the church on the main floor and provide a wheelchair ramp to the basement. The basement foundation will have to be modified and the wheelchair ramp would be fairly long and need to be covered and protected from the weather.
