We have about 1000 feet of laminate to install in a main floor Bungalow. We have completed one of three bedrooms but need the other two, a hallway, all closets and the living room completed. We have no problem completing the work, but are looking to outsource to get the job completed in a more timely fashion.
Hello,
I am looking for a trusted professional to open the concept of my kitchen, dinning, and living room.
Live in a small ~1000sqft Bungalow
I am looking to
1. Removal main walls shown in the picture ( I have determined with engineer that the wall is load bearing.
2. Do a new brand new kitchen
3. Do new flooring on whole main floor.
Please text or call and we can arrange time for you to come in for an accurate quote.
Thank you
Main Floor:
1. Living Room, Dining Room, and Hallway (275 sq ft) - remove existing carpet, install 3/8" subfloor, install 35 yr warranty laminate flooring (medium/dark walnut), install paintable trim. Laminate selection to be determined during site visit.
2. Kitchen, Eat-in area, and Entrance (125 sq ft) - remove existing vinyl tiles and hardwood (glued down, not nailed), install Trafficmaster Cermaica tiles (grouted option), install paitable trim.
3. Stairwell: Lower Landing, Upper Landing, 2nd Floor Hallway (100sq ft), and 22 steps - remove existing carpet, check and repair any creaky floor areas, install new underlay and carpet (able to accomodate high traffic).
Please quote all 3 separately. Assume all materials can be purchased by installer at a competitive price. Recommendations welcomed. PDF file of floor layouts available if requested. Leveling of floor in kitchen may be a consideration. Home was built in 1986. Laminiate being considered over hardwood because of pets in the house. Some furniture relocation as floor is installed is required.
A wall needs to be alined with the AC unit front in the living room, about 10 inches move of the wall line and a corner of the bedroom, which will make a bedroom wider. Wall length is about 7-8 feet, haven't got the exact measurements yet. Wall has power and TV cable outlets on both sides.
Please provide a quote and timeframe with an approximate start date. Please also specify if any condo management permission has to be received.
Quote for installation. Main floor condo townhouse. Bamboo hardwood and baseboards. Underlayment already down. Approximately 330 sq.ft.
Kitchen, livingroom, dining and hallway. There is a powder room in the middle so my concern is matching of boards when they meet in the hallway.
Limited access available from 8 am to 6 pm only.
Do you price per foot or by the job?
Julie
We have a small spare bedroom (approximately 150-200 sq/f) that we want to turn into a nursery before our baby's arrival at the beginning of July. The house is fairly old - in the 50-year range, I think.
The room currently has carpet, which we'll want removed and replaced with laminate or hardwood (we'll procure the flooring). The walls and ceiling will need to be painted, plus we want to wallpaper one wall. The attic access is in that room, so we'd like that hatch to be sealed up as best as it can be (while still leaving it able to be opened). We'd also like the walls and floor of the closet to be painted and possibly for the closet to be refinished or lined with cedar - something to eliminate the gaps at the corners caused by the house having settled over time. The baseboards will also need painting and possibly replacing.
I need a professional contractor to save my basement floor project. The people who installed the laminate did a lousy job and there are dips, soft patches and squeaky noises throughout the basement floor. I was assured by the installer that the floor would be done right - he finished the job right up to installing the trim and caulking the trim. It looks perfect however I have learned that Ineed to get a subfloor installed first and/or a self levelling product to fill in the concrete. My basement is roughly 730 sq ft. I need a professional to come in and do it right - please help - I have already spent way too much but need to get someone who knows what they are doing.
Same as a previous project, but we are ready to go go go! We can do quotes after work hours on weekdays, typically after 6pm.
Part 1 - Flooring - Level and install.
Try to level flooring in all rooms, install laminate flooring in all 4 rooms over existing flooring.
4 rooms total. Previous quotes were for about 600 sq feet with waste included.
Part 2 - Install trim, about 250 linear feet. If cost is nominal, remove and replace old baseboard as well.
Part 3 (optional) - If cost is nominal, we will also want to install in the upstairs hallway for consistency.
We're looking for a quote to refinish original 1 1/2" golden oak hardwood that has been covered by carpet, likely since the house was built in 1971. Looking for a no/low sheen finish in a different colour than golden.
We'll take care of the carpet/staples/nail strip removal.
The hardwood spans the living room (15' x 12'), dining room (10' x 12'), hallway and three bedrooms (15' x 10', 12' x 10', 10' x 10') of a raised ranch.
Possession date of home is May 9 and work must be done by May 27, so please don't offer to quote unless you're able to meet this deadline.
Thank you :)
1) Replace carpeting with laminate floor in a bedroom 11 ft X 11ft 6 plus a small closet
2) Overlay existing hardwood floor in a kitchen / eating area with ceramic tile. Overall dimensions are 9 ft 6 X 17ft 6 with a large unmovable island bordering 1 side and kitchen cabinets / cupboards bordering the other side. Actual sq footage to be done is estimated at 120 sq ft
I need an initial guestimate of budget (not requesting a firm quote) to act as a start point. This project has an end date of Oct 1, 2022. Start date is flexible to satisfy trade availability.
We need someone to replace our floors in our whole house. The total space is ~1600 sqft. The job includes removing the existing boards and shoe moulding, re-levelling the floor (this was not done properly the first time and our boards have cracked), fixing a supporting beam/jack in the basement, reinstalling the new boards (vinyl plank) and shoe mould. The new boards are being delivered tomorrow so we'd like the job to start ASAP. Thanks!
Take up and take away existing carpet runner up curved two story hallway stairs. Pull out all staples and fill holes with appropriate filler. Sand but preferably by hand to cut down on dust. Homeowner would do sanding if refinished only does power sanding. Stain treads to match existing colour. Homeowner to paint white risers. Existing spindles to remain.
Two key questions;
1) is fast drying stain used to allow homeowners same day access to second floor?
2) we have a cat that goes up and down the stairs a few times a day. How would it be accommodated?
Hi ....
I would like an estimate for around 450 square feet and 12 stairs to rip up carpeting and put down manufactured laminate (floating floor?) Could you please quote me with and without the stairs.
The house is around 30 years old. Its the upstairs to a townhouse and has 2 bedrooms and an L shaped hallway.
Thank you
