Hello, I am in the process of renovating my condo and am looking for quotes for the following- how much do you charge per square foot?
1) popcorn ceiling removal
2) pot light installation
3) hardwood floor installation (hardwood already purchased)
4) baseboard and trim installation (already purchased)
5) painting
6) tile installation in 2pc bathroom (purchased)
7) tile installation for face of fireplace and floor (purchased)
Thank you.
1) I need to get floor tiles installed in my laundry room and bathroom in basement.
2) cement board to be installed with some 4x4 tiles to be installed in the shower in the basement.
3) move two closet doors and remove one closet from a room.
4) install hardwood in 450sq ft and screw down the sub floor. Nosing will need to be installed by removing railing and then reinstalling back on nosing.
We have less than 100 sq. ft. of engineered flooring to install in our upper level hall.
Connections to four rooms; one with the identical flooring already installed, two to carpeted bedrooms and one to a bathroom (ceramic tiles). In addition, one stair nose and one riser to be done. We have the lumber, the under padding, the door jam (for baseboards), and the stair nose. We do not have the transition pieces to the bedrooms and bathroom.
We will prep the floor by removing the existing carpet, under padding and all nails and staples.
We live in a bungalow home with engineered hardwood throughout the 1st floor with the exception of the kitchen/bathroom. The floors are not that old but are very squeaky.
We do not want to replace the floor/baseboards just someone to come in and hopefully minimize/eliminate the squeaks.
Our basement has a T Bar drop ceiling so we can access the sub-floor/joists from there.
I'm open to any ideas of how this can be fixed.
Please provide rough estimate of cost/ timing.
Thanks,
Jordan
1) Main floor living room laminate floor replacement (400 square feet)
*current flooring sample has been analyzed at $10.89/sq ft
2) Second floor carpeting needs replacing (467 sq ft)
*sample analyzed at $3.69/sq ft
3) In addition, some minor work such as replacing bi-fold doors in two bedrooms
There are 4 rooms which require flooring in the upstairs of our home.
Total square footage between all for 4 rooms is approximately 600 sq.ft., including closet space.
This will go over the old existing hardwood, and match up to the hallway (already has newer hardwood overtop of the old stuff).
If doing carpet, its possible to use an underpad and pile height to make up the difference.
Included in this project would be approximately 250 linear feet of trim to be installed. this would be to remove the existing baseboard, and replace with new trim. giving a uniform look across all rooms.
We are looking for a reasonable pricing for flooring all 4 rooms. We assume that carpet would be the lower cost alternative. We will most likely select some basic neutral colour.
When giving an online estimate, please give a baseline range of cost based on the material suggested ... or if in person quote is required for a complete estimate.
I need 200 square feet of tile laid for a kitchen. I'd like an all in quote assuming $10/sqft for the tile. Please itemize tile price and labor price.
I also need to refinish approximately 1000 square feet of hardwood floor. For this project I'd also like to re stain the hardwood a darker brown color.
In the attached picture, the two floor plans on the left show the main level and the upstairs. The left side of the bottom picture is the kitchen which needs tile and everywhere else is hardwood that needs refinishing.
I have a few reno jobs for my house. There will be more in the future but below are the immediate ones:
- Laminate flooring installed in a basement room (340 sq ft)
- Tile flooring in the laundry room (70 sq ft)
- Hardwood flooring in small foyer area (>30 sq ft)
- Ikea vanity (already assembled), lighting fixture, towel rod installed in bathroom
- Caulking replaced and exterior painting on 9 windows
A good price and good work on this will definitely lead to additional work.
Moving to a townhouse + replacing broadloom in 2nd floor 3 bedrooms and halllway with handscraped hardwood + floating cork (click) floor with 3mm cork underlay. Mstr bdrm + walk in closet is approx 230 sq ft and will have the hardwood. Other 2 bdrms + hallway are approx 300 sq ft total. We have the hardwood + cork is en route from BC. We need this installed on June 21 + 22 before we move in. We will remove existing carpet. Please provide a quoite for installation per square foot.
Thank you!

Approx 450 square feet of carpet needs to be removed and replaced with hardwood flooring. This covers the living and dining area in a semi-detached 1300 square foot home in Burlington.
I have yet to buy the flooring but wanted a quote on the installation first. Eventually, I would also like to renovate my bathroom.
Thanks and Best wishes.
Hello,
Looking for a pro that can help with our floors. We had some of the flooring removed for mold. Now its clean we need to repair the patches. A thought was even using existing closets with the hardwood and a different flooring in the closets? Open to suggestions from the pros. This job is in 2 different bedrooms.
I want to change the floors in my house from carpeted to hardwood (medium grade) or laminate (medium grade) in a 1200 sq feet house. This would include living/dining area, hallway upstairs and three bedrooms.
Also I would like a SEPARATE quote for changing carpeted stairway to hardwood stairway.
Please let me know your estimated cost for this job and how long it would take to finish this job.
Thank you very much.
Margaret
