We are going to be replacing our existing cabinets with ikea cabinets to which we have pick out. We would be looking for someone to be able to say hookup the new sink, we are using the same dishwasher but it will need to be disconnected and put back in, the frig we are keeping as well but has water hookup etc. Stove is remaining in the same location but we would be needing some electrical for a second unit being put in one of the cabinets. I would be available to assist as required. Not looking to get in the way but should a second body be needed I could be it. I would take the existing cabinets out. Thanks.
Measurements of the kitchen are 213 inches down the one side and 93 inch wall directly across which has 2 pantry units on it. There would also be a small island. Basically a galley type so just the two walls have cabinets and appliances on them.
We will be replacing the kitchen counter, having a wall removed and some new cabinets/counter installed. Kitchen size is approx 10' x 10' Wall to be removed needs to be confirmed that it is load bearing or not. A tile back splash is also to be installed in kitchen.
We will be replacing the bathtub in the main bathroom and having the enclosure tiled. new plumbing fixtures also to be installed.
The house is 10 years old and we have purchased some materials already.
Thank you,
Dan + Jackie
Kitchen and Bathroom renovation in condo. Would like to do some improvements to sell. Job would include refacing cabinents in kitchen, replacing old fluorescent lighting in kitchen, ceramic tiling in kitchen and bathroom, removing old bathtub and replacing with new shower, replacing vanities and fixtures in bathrooms. Retiling in bathroom very strong possibility. Replace old toilets with new ones.
Kitchen is appoximately 10' x 8'. Powder room is approximately 4' x 5'. Ensuite bathroom is approximately 10' x 8'.
Condo is about 20 years old. Work must be done with minimal noise and cannot be done past 6:00pm daily. Work done on Sundays and holidays are not permitted by the condo board.
Removal and disposal of old bathtub must be included.
Would like to get some rough estimates for job described.
We are looking to renovate our kitchen but would like to open up / move some walls.
There are also a small powder room and laundry room plus 2 living spaces on main floor that we are hoping to incorporate into the renovation.
What we need is someone who can help us come up with the perfect design and work through the whole process with us.
I want to convert my current family room into my bedroom, and my bedroom into my family room. To do this I need to push back a wall to make the one room bigger, and I want to make sure it's not a load carrying wall. This also forces me to re-do both floors in these rooms, and the "new" living room needs the paneling replaced with Drywall.
By doing this I can eliminate a hallway which will be added into these rooms, and possibly add a serving window to the living room through the kitchen/dining room.
Looking to see who can come view my house and give quotes.
Thanks,
Ann

In order to have new floors installed in our bungalow, we require the following:
Remove and dispose of 1100 square feet of hardwood flooring.
Remove 4 columns and reinstall at a later date; remove and reinstall wood railing to basement; remove all baseboards, and reinstall new baseboards (same height, width and painted white); remove gas fireplace and electric fireplace, remove all bottom kitchen cupboards and pantry, and reinstall after hardwood floors are put down. If the counter tops in the kitchen can be saved then we require them reinstalled.
My home is 30 + years. Plaster walls. It is a 3 level backsplit excluding basement level. I am looking to renovate the main floor. The kitchen and livingroom is divided by a wall. The 1-1/2 garage is attached to the kitchen livingroom. I would like to remove the wall dividing the kitchen and livingroom and create a kitchen/diningroom. I would like to remove the wall from the livingroom/garage and remodel this garage into a sunken in livingroom.
My major debate right now is stay and renovate or sell and buy new. I have looked at the realestate market and truly believe I could complete my home the way I like it much cheaper than purchasing a new home.
Am looking at a lot out in Red Rock. There is a house on the property and am not sure whether its savable or not? Need someone to look at the the house and let me know and if so what it would cost to fix up and make livable. If not the cost to demo the house and level the property with the idea of putting a mobile home on the property. I am from Ontario and am looking to move here. Will be in PG for the rest of the week.
Hello,
We are currently in the process of some renovations. There is a few things that we need to hire a contract to help us with.
1. Our new kitchen is coming in at the end of the month middle of July and we need the ceilings drywalled, taped, mud and sanded. Also our electrician re wired everything in the kitchen we just need the contractor that is installing the ceilings to be able to install the potlights in the ceiling.
2. We are moving our laundry room to the basement so we need a rough in for the basement near the main water shut off.
3. Removal of a back door and installation of a sliding door. The frame measures the same as a standard sliding door.
I have a small cement cellar below the front porch with a door in the basement. The cement has been breaking away inside and out. The interior door, framing and moulding has mold and needs to be replaced. I want the cement repaired both inside and out and a proper frame and door placed inside. I would like something done in the cellar so we can use it for storage. I would also like a small wood deck put over top of the cement top outside and extended out in front of the house. The cellar is about 4'x6' and the outside porch will be about 12' in length. ASAP please.
