I am in the midst of renovating a child's room as a surprise for my grandchildren. I have purchased ship lap as I love this look but have no idea how to put it up. Was hoping for someone who is kind enough to take on a small project that will make two little girls very happy! Thank you for your consideration!
I need to shorten a counter top by about 3" to allow a 22" stove to be replaced by a wider 24" stove. The top is a sheet of arborite on what is probably 3/4" plywood since these cabinets date back to WW2 and are believed to have been what was built with the house.
The front edge on the top is definitely plywood so I assume that the top is the same material. There is one shelf and the base would also need to be shorted by the same amount.
The 3" is flexible if we needed to remove a bit more to make the job easier to fit a saw in to cut the middle shelf or base.
The kitchen drawer and one of the lower doors on the cabinet would also need to be narrowed by the amount that we shortened the cabinet. If you do not want to deal with narrowing the drawer or door, I can do with that myself.
Hi,
I have a few things to be repaired at my house at Westdale, Hamilton:
- Repair or replace broken heating ducts in basement
- Repair or replace heating vents throughout the house
- front door needs weather strips on the outside to stop draft
- replace exhaust fan in bathroom
Additional:
- reattach the garden gate
- something to seal off the "rock" garden in the front yard so wild weeds cannot grow there
Hi, the below is a mixed bag of items here in the house.
Please let me know if there is something you are either not comfortable doing or not skilled at doing. This is a bit of a diverse list:
- Install projector on the ceiling & mount screen in basement
- Move side access gate out by one panel - I have all the hardware and should have necessary wood.
- Install hot tub cover lifter - I have the lift
- Install decking around hot tub - I will supply the materials, the boards need to be installed in a way that allow me trap access into the pump door. Area needing decking is approx 2'x10' and 4"x 9' with some treatment around the corner/rounded edge of the tub.
- Terminate Approx 20 CAT 5e/6 Cables With An RJ-45 Connector - Cable is already in the walls, I will have the connectors - You will need tools (crimper thingy and wire locator - to make sure we get the right wires connected)
- Leverage existing hole into the basement to add in Cat 5/6 and speaker wire from outdoors into the utility room - I will supply both cables
- Install 2 window covers properly to basement windows
- Fix a kitchen table leg - needs glue and clamps (both I do not have)
- Clean nicks on hallway hutch and bathroom - I do not have the touch up paint for this.
- Inspect about 20 windows for weatherstrip - reapply as needed
- Remove and apply silicon in the master shower
- Apply Stain/Seal to front entrance - I will supply the stain - the Door is approx 3x8 - I think the door will require sanding but you can let me know if it does.
- Clean/Paint nicks & scratches on walls and baseboards - I will supply the paint, no damage to the dry wall or baseboards, just cosmetic
Hi. I am looking for someone who can fix a window that was installed by a previous owner (it is leaking into the drywall inside and may not have been sealed properly or the drainage holes on the outside are clogged?) it is a 3rd floor window. I also need a screen door fixed; my teenage son removed the sliding piece of glass when locked out)
There are a number of smaller jobs; a lightbulb has broken off in a socket and i don't know how to get it out; there is a toilet that needs a new rubber piece/plug? in the tank has a chain that is broken. A small piece of siding also blew off but it looks important, and i need several large pictures wall mounted.
I also need a plumber! I had a backflow valve installed last year after a backup and ever since my house smells like a sewer. (I think the sewer gasses were previously escaping through that pipe because their other exit pipe has occluded with age). It is a 100 yr old house and i have had a lot of plumbing replaced and it was occluded).
Thank you so much!
Barbara
