Looking for baseboard installed/painted in our basement. No doors or windows, casing is already on those areas. Approx 50 linear ft of baseboard needed, measurements TBD.
Also, one of our basement windows broke. Would like to get this either replaced with a window or a piece of glass, depending on cost.
I've just purchased a new home (have yet to take possession) and need to replace 3 basement windows. They're currently single-pane windows without locks.
In one of the window wells is some old wiring from what we believe to be a hot tub, that will need to be removed as well.
Prefer to replace the windows with double-pane, locking windows.
We have an unfinished basement in our 17 yr old home with three builder standard Reliance sliders (30.5”w x 16” t) that we want to replace in late March/early April.
We have priced out the same size Gentek Inward Opening Awning windows at $242 each (pic attached). We are good with another brand if it is an inward and upward opening model.
We also have alarm contacts (DSC alarm system) that will need to be replaced as part of this install.
Pictures of the windows (interior/exterior) are attached.
Thanks
Joe
3 basement windows approx. size is 34x22
Existing windows need to be removed and new installed. I can either purchase windows from home depot and you install or price for window and installation. I am also lloking to put two vents into my bathrooms and nither one has a vent for the humidity with the shower.
I am looking to get some email quotes at this point.
Thank you
Need someone to drill a 4 inch round hole through double brick exterior wall leading into the top floor bathroom. Also, the 4 inch Vent Kit and cap must be installed in that same round hole so that a Bathroom Exhaust fan can be installed from the Bathroom on the inside.
Installation of Exhaust fan will be completed by homeowner, but the outer hole needs to be drilled.
Also, there is a small window in that same room just under the area of the drilled hole that will need to be installed. The window is roughly 19x21 (approx). There is a similar sized older window there right now. That has to be removed and replaced with the new window. The window work can be complete (both inside and outside work done to it) or just fully installed with the outside work done (sealing etc), and i will do the sealing etc. from the inside. Window is vinyl single hung.
I am interested in a quote for either or both tasks.
Thanks
Hello
I need to have a small window installed in my 2nd floor bathroom. The window is already purchased to size.
The old window must be removed and the new one installed. Window is roughly 18 inches by 20 inches give or take.
The sooner it can be done, the better.
I would appreciate any and all quotes, including any possible dates that the work can be done. I am located in central hamilton.
Thanks Kindly
We have an old existing panelled front door and want to be able to get it renovated (there are many carved panels on it- they may not be wood- recessed into the door). We have tried to source a door from Home Depot etc. but we cannot get a prehung door due to the framing and structure of our front entrance. There are windows adjacent to the door.
The other alternative would be to source a door and get it hung. We did get a quote for over $3000 to get a single mahogony door made and hung but this is expensive.
Can you help us?
I would like to have a door installed in the wall that connects my hall to the garage. Would entail cutting a hole in the wall (no cinder blocks involved). Looks like it could already be roughed in for a door already based on the location of the drywall screws in the garage. May also need to have a two-step (?) riser in the garage to provide access to the hallway.
...have been taken for $49,000 already
I have one window needing to be installed - same size as existing - 2nd window is smaller - both windows purchased and on premise. I have Home Depot kitchen cabinets assembled but needing to be installed. Bathroom vent in place but not vented - stove hood needs to be installed and vented. I need to get these things done ASAP - there is a possibility for more extensive work - possible total basement renovation.
I had a previous contractor working for me and he has taken my money and vanished. I am desperate to at least get these jobs done so that I can have the roof insulated and closed before winter. I am desperate and panicking - I am hoping to find someone honest to help me complete these jobs - I am paying of course.
Job consists of installing doors in:
2 bedroom doors
1 hallway (linen) closet
3 bedroom closets
Details:
BEDROOM ENTRY: Replace one existing bedroom entry door and install 2nd bedroom entry door. (openings measure aprox H 80" x W 30")
HALLWAY: Replace existing bifold door with single slab/hinged door (opening measures aprox H 81" x W 23.5")
BEDROOM CLOSETS: Closet openings currently floor to ceiling (two measure aprox H 8' by W 39.75" ) (one measures aprox H 8' x W 35.25"). Box in/drywall top of all three openings to create standard closet sizes and isntall doors.
We want to replace sliding doors in living room with mirrored doors (already bought from Rona). This involved drywalling down from the ceiling down to top of new doors, framing both sides of closet opening, after removing some drywall on one side to make the mirror closure symetrical, moving an electrical outlet a few inches, and adding a piece of flooring tile (which we have) to fill in the space where drywall is removed. We want the new drywall primed and we will paint it ourselves later. The closet door has wood frames, and we want the surround which would run up the height and across, to match the baseboard we already have. If you are interested, we can send you a picture of what we want the finished result to look like.
Home built in 1890. Need 2 bedroom doors installed. The doorway needs to be professionally measured and assessed if needs some adjustment to accommodate the doors that would be ordered based on your information. Once the doors are purchased you would need to install them.
You would need good carpentry and finishing skills.
I own the home.
I need a door (pre-hung and painted) installed in an empty doorway. Nothing special - a typical hollow-core basic door would work. The doorway is currently framed and drywalled (there has never been a door there). The caveats:
1. I only have two short time-frames that this can be done (can't do either earlier or later): May 2, after 4:00pm OR May 3 in the morning, around 9:00 am. This is also the time when measurements will have to be taken.
2. I will need this done quickly, within a day (if you take measurements on May 2nd, you may also complete the job in the morning of May 3).
3. As such, you come prepared with all the tools and supplies
Please respond only if you are able to do this within that time and under conditions specified - please provide a quote for labor (excluding the cost of the door and trim, which I will also cover).
Thanks!
Hi there..looking to buy new closet and bedroom doors for my condo. Looking for someone to install them, and the new door knobs and paint them as well. There is a total of 4 closet doors, and 3 bedroom/bathroom doors.
Any idea of pricing for this and time frame?
Thank you!
We have some baseboards that are old and need to be repaired ( 15 linear feet). Trim work for indoor wood stairs to make it look less rough (12 steps). We have an old side kitchen door (single door) that we want removed and filled in with glass blocks.
It would be helpful, If you can give us a rough estimate of how much this would cost before an inspection for a detailed quote.
We bought a house (40-year-old) and we'd like to change the basement windows at this time. They have wood frame. There are 4 windows in the basement: 2 windows approx. 38"x23" and the other 2 windows approx. 51"x33". All the windows are very accessible from outside/inside. Could you please give us a quote?
Thank you

Front door of tenanted unit in Hamilton is hanging by one hinge. It needs to be replaced and it is likely that the frame of this door needs to be replaced/adjusted in some way as well. Preferred door type - partly screened. Age of house - 1930s. Site conditions - old/rental property (row house) in downtown Hamilton.
Need basic door / installation.
Looking to replace an existing window. I have the new window on site ready to be installed. The existing window needs to be removed including the frame right to the masonry opening. The interior trim will be removed before you begin. The existing masonry opening is 54" wide x 75" high (To the low point of the arch) and the new window is 53" wide by 73" high. I need the old window removed and new window secured in place and spray foamed. I will do the caulking at the exterior and trim in the interior. I can provide more pictures, please feel free to call.
