Very large 6-pod and smaller 2-pod desk units to be built. Each desk is approx. 4-5 feet wide. Both would require two people, as they are quite long and heavy. 2-pod unit needs to be attached to existing unit. Will likely take 8-10 hours. Current desks (4-,8-,and 6-pod units) took approximately a week to assemble. Instructions and all materials provided, but must have own tools.
I am putting in a concrete pathway. I will do the forms, gravel, and concrete myself. I just want to hire someone for a day to dig out the dirt 8" down where I mark.
The pathway is 75' long and 3' wide approx.
Just need handyman / labourer - do not want to pay ridiculous prices that concrete companies charge. I'm willing to pay a fair hourly wage for a day of work.
Possibility to bring you in for a couple more days to help me move the gravel and concrete, but please just quote on the day of digging for now.
I need the paint removed from my concrete floor balcony. I'm on the 3rd floor of a hi-rise condo. The existing paint is already coming off in many areas. I assume whoever painted it used non-outdoor paint or should have primed. Area is roughly 5ft x 10ft.
I don't want to spend too much money on this, I could probably do it myself but don't have the time or the tools for it.
This is a small apartment in a large house. It needs painting throughout. I'd like to remove the old carpet and replace it with laminate flooring in the bedroom and living room. I need some repair work for the stair. The landing area (two steps from the top) is squeaking very badly. I think it needs to be fixed from underneath by taking out the drywall. The area is rougly 4 feet by 4 feet. Don't worry about the paint as I have someone doing that already. If you can take out the drywall, fix landing area from bottom by adding some support and put the drywall back then send me an email

Hi,
We have a number of smaller jobs that need to be completed asap at our home. We are moving to a new home and are planning on renting out our current 3 bedroom home in Port Credit. We have several projects that need to be finished including:
baseboards in bathroom ( 1 10 foot length)
recaulk bathtub
Install tub siding
install code stairwell railing and hand rail on second floor staircase (there is currently a 2' wrought iron railing and the handrail going downstairs is too short and too low)
install doors (sliding or hinged) on closets in Master bedroom (2 closets approximately 4' wide)
attached counter to lower kitchen cupboards (1' wide counter to existing cabinet)
install new door nob & mechanism to basement door (the current one does not fit properly so the door does not close easily creating a hazard for small children)
install drywall in wide 1" thick doorway (past contractor used shiny board that doesn't hold the paint)
caulk plate glass window (3'X3')
Possibly replace existing sliding glass doors for walk out to back yard
This is all I can think of for now - but there may be a few other issues.
If you would please email me with your hourly rates I would appreciate it.
Also, I am looking for someone to refinish the hardwood floors (original 1920's) in our new condo - see project # HCA39859. This project would start April 16th.
Thanks,
Karen
