Our backyard interlock patio needs to be re-lifted out and redone. Approximately 30ft x 20ft. We want to re-use the stones we have but the wood edging needs to be replaced. We are looking at either re-doing the stones (depending how $$) or replacing the whole thing with a wood deck and this would be done by us unless the price is right.
~140-150sqft natural stone pavers already owned (ex: Oakville Hampton), to be laid on an existing stone walkway (to be slightly expanded as well). Current stones are dated, mismatched and have shifted. Am willing to consider dry or wet lay, do not know condition of substrate, looking for something solid, even and long-lasting. Location is SW Mississauga (Dundas and Winston Churchill), am property owner.
Our house was built in 1947. We have an old wooden and stone porch that was built over an existing stoop. It is currently uncovered and not to code. It is also failing apart. We are looking to rebuild with a covered section and reconfigure the stairs. Have some design ideas but would be open to suggestions. Looking to get 3 estimates.
It's a old house and want to possibly do in a craftsman type style.
We have a brick wall going up our front stairs and in front of the landing in front of the stairs.
We have concerns with this structure so we would like a professional opinion as to whether it can be saved or must be re built. We also have a landing area approx. 10' x 8'. It is a landing with flag stone on the surface. The flagstone was raised about 2" above the base and it has suuk so this area need to be built up and resurfaced. We are flexible about what surface even to replace it with. I need an estimate. A budget is shown below but we really net an evaluation and a quote
FRONT STONE STEPS:
We have 5 stone steps going up to our porch, which are about 5 feet wide, and were done by a very incompetent contractor (they finished 2-3 inches below edge of the porch).
The steps were intended to be 4-5 inches high and wide for my dad, who is handicapped and uses crutches. The stairs are sinking and un-even, and need to be leveled and re-installed properly. We need them to be raised to the porch edge (covering the brick area in the picture, incase I am using the wrong terminology), and evened out in height. They are currently laid on what appears to be HPB, which has held up well for about 5 years.
REAR PATIO STONES:
We have patio stones covering an area of 10'x18' in the back - this was a home done job, with nothing but compacted soil and stuff underneath - so this would need just enough HPB or other base to level and lay the stones back on.
We are looking to sell the house, so we don't want to spend anymore than what would be needed to repair/reuse what is already there, instead of a more elaborate solution. We want the result to look neat, and hold up for a few more years and let the new owner decide what they want to do next.
Please review the attached pictures and provide a complete quote in your response to include any labour, tools, equipment etc - cost of additional materials can be discussed as needed before we finalize the contract. This project must be completed within the month of May.
This is a residential home with an existing flagstone covered front porch and walkway. The flagstone and interconnecting cement is crumbling. This also results in water leaking into the cold room located directly below. Rain drips down from the top of the cold room, not from the bottom.
The porch dimensions are 6 by 21 feet with four steps and a 14 foot walkway. Estimated square footage, including facing, is about 200 to 225 sq.ft.
Project: Remove and dispose of existing flagstone. Seal cracks (if any) in the underlying cement porch. Cover porch, facing, stairs and walkway with new flagstone.
We are trying to gather up the crews to finish off our backyard and we need to get a quote from you ASAP in regards to the water feature by the pool, all the fittings are there for the plumbing so you don't need to worry about that. We have a plan of what we want you to create for us which will include lights in the feature. We need you to build it with the Owen Sound natural stone in the front of the house. We need it done almost immediately.
Call Moe.
The project should be completed fairly quickly, in approximately two days. Immediate availability is great since the project should begin in the next 7 days. The installer will be provided the stones, tools and help from other subcontractors. He should be able to direct the other workers since they are not as knowledgeable in installing the paving stones. House is located in Mississauga. The area is 1000sq/ft
I am looking for someone to install some stone faade on portions of the exterior of my home that presently are wood finished. This would include the exterior walls of my kitchen, some smaller exterior sections and two porch pillars. I am the owner of the property and if interested I could forward photos.
Removal of existing patio. Would like sunroom built where old patio was off of kitchen doors. Would like a interlocking patio to be built adjacent to the sunroom. Exisiting wood stairs which lead to lower entry to be removed and replaced with interlocking stone, Need retaining wall. Permits would be needed.
