I am considering replacing the laminate floor in my condo Approx 320 ft 2 (including a 1/2 bath that has linoleum in it now and a small landing and two steps covered in laminate). I would like to replace with vinyl planks (that I will purchase). I would like a quote on how much the labour would be to remove the laminate and linoleum flooring and lay the vinyl plank and transition pieces. I own the condo. I would like to have this work done in April / May time frame. Thank you
I have a 300 sq ft living room, dining room. L Shaped. The home is 40 years old and the floors were refinished but nails are visible.
I would like the old removed and new hardwood installed. I do not want laminate but do want pre-finished wood. I realize there is a significant variation in price and quality and that can be discussed. I prefer Canadian or American wood products
I may (probably will) need new baseboards and 1/4 rounds (painted and finished).
There is not much room so the furniture will need to be moved from one room to the other in order to do the work.
I can provide photos.
Pete
Hi,
My home will be built by Mattamy and the model is Sandfield. It will be located in Orleans and the closing date is March 2012.
I decided to put the hardwood after closing date by a private company as the builder is charging too much. I need to know how much per sqrf you guys charge or in other words how much the installation + everythings.
Removing and disposing of the existing luminate flooring of the Dining, Living and hallway area. (Disposal location on the site)

Estimated working days needed (Maximum 2) - Restricted working times (Condo rules)
The estimated budget includes material price.
Start date: July 31 - Or Aug 01
Further information including the plan will be available upon contact.
We have a home that is in Orleans, ON and was built in the 1990's. We have about 1500 sq. feet of light oak hardwood that needs to be re-stained and refinished to a medium walnut brown walnut color. Then we have about 100 sq. feet of ceramic tiles to be removed and the medium colored hardwood to be freshly installed in there. We obviously would like a good quality hardwood and the ceramic tiles, when removed, need to have the underneath graded so the new hardwood sits evenly. We prefer a sheen but not a high gloss as you can see more imperfections and we prefer a water based finish too and not oil. There is also one area in the family room that has about 4 inches of a deep grove into the existing hardwood that needs to be sanded down so that it is removed before refinishing with the new color (obviously try to get the groove out as much as possible).

We are about to buy a brand new home with carpet upstairs and we would like to have the carpet removed in the master bedroom and in the "loft area" at the top of the stairs.
The total surface covered is about 350-400 square foot.
Is it possible to have an estimate on how much it will cost us for the labor of the job? And how long will it take? Because ideally we would have the floors done before we move in, is that a realistic expectation or most flooring companies will make us wait a certain time before to do the job?
And other than the hardwood floors and the new baseboard what else will we need for the contractor?
Thank you so much for your time, I apologize about my multiple questions but the wife is pressuring me (you know how it goes eh).
Hi, we just purchased a 2008 home in Beacon Hill. We take possession Feb 1, 2021. We would like to have 2 things done: replace the carpet in 2 stair cases (one to upstairs, one to downstairs) with hardwood. Additionally, we would like to replace the carpet in the upper hallway and 2 bedrooms. The master is already hardwood. We may or may not wish to match that wood.
Bedrooms are approximately 9’6”x12’ and 9’7”x14’5” (as per realtor measurement). Hallway is guessed 3’ x 15’ plus a small linen closet.
Staircase one has 10 threads, plus 3 landings.
Staircase 2 has 9 steps plus 1 landing.
Preferably we would like the work done before we move in at the end of February. We can have access to the home once before closing for the purposes of estimates.

Hello,
I live in an historic co-op in downtown Ottawa. The floors in my apartment are the original wood flooring dated to 1912. After 100 years, and numerous sandings, the 2-inch wide boards are so dangerously thin that end pieces are crack under the weight of normal walking, not to mention separation, squeaking and bending allover. This problem exists throughout my 1200 sq/ft apartment. I would like to know if piece-work is possible, or if replacing the entire floor by laying new hardwood flooring over the existing floor is an option. Would you be able to provide a free quote that I could pass on to our Board for their consideration? I welcome your visit to inspect the situation.
Thank you,
Christopher

Hello,
I am in the process of renovating/moving and am looking for someone who could do possibly have the following done before the 23rd of February. We are having furniture delivered on this date and need to make sure the main level flooring is complete. We will also need to have carpet put down on the stairs and hallway of the second level, however, this is not quite as time sensitive.
**I am looking for a price range for laying down laminate flooring with the materials already bought (flooring with attached underlay) and the previous floor is already ripped and the area cleaned. The main floor we require to be done is around 650 sq ft.
Also, we will need to have carpet laid on the stairs and hallway upstairs. This area is about 19 square yards. We do not yet have the carpet or the underlay.
I would like to get some rough estimates and then perhaps have a more accurate estimate done.
Thank you in advance,
Kayla
I am the property owner.
I want to replace the carpet on my second floor (townhouse) with already purchased vinyl plank flooring and already purchased baseboards.
I attempted to do this myself but either I am just not good at laying the flooring or I expect my sub-floor (OSB) is not flat enough and needs to be flattened and/or levelled. I don't know for sure though.
Total second floor area is 695 Sq. Ft.
This includes two bathrooms (one full and one half) that we are not going to be re-flooring during this project.
Only wanting to do all carpeted areas (3 bedrooms and hallway).
After moving furniture I saw damage on the hardwood near outside wall in my bedroom (please see the picture).
The company I hired to prevent further leaks applied silicon on the siding (it is not clear where the actual leak is). Yet, the damage became worse several months after that.
I need hardwood repair as well as (I suspect) underfloor and wall repair.
Hello, there were some water damages on the walls, ceilings, and hardwood floors at my commercial property caused by water leaking from the roof recently. Now the roof repairs are finished, if you could do the inside repairs, could you come over to give an estimate please ? The store is located on Rideau St in downtown Ottawa. Thank you.
