Looking to build an ensuite to a second bedroom. We would convert the office (see attached) into the bathroom. Some of the things we would like:
Double vanity
Standup shower (no bathtub)
Medium quality tiles (trying to keep costs lower)
If it fits in the budget, heated floors would be nice.
Not sure what work would be required to reroute plumbing.
SHOWER #1
Approx. 5'x7' opening with door on wall and 3'x4' opening half wall
SHOWER #2
Approx. 3'x7' opening with door on wall and 3'x4' opening half wall
Please provide approximate estimate for these two showers including installation. Will only hire a glass specialist and not a general contractor for this job.
Thank you.
Basement, all open space, one room for stororage approx 1800 square feet. I'm looking to seperate a tv room and a bedroom and leave the extra space to build a functional home office. I'm looking to hire someone so I'd like it to be very proffessional.
The lighting currently is poor, low ceiling floresent. I need help!
Hello,
I have purchased a Glass shower kit from Costco (glass sliding door and ceramic / concrete floor base). I will need the current bathtub and ceramics taken out and replace by the new shower. I believe the only items needed will be new drywall, new ceramic/glass tile and showerhead plumbing (the new base drain/floor should match up with the existing plumbing based on the old tub.
Please provide me with a quote (or time come out and see the job) as well as a time frame on start dates.
Thank you
Jodi
I'm looking to re-do my existing master bathroom - the space is roughly 100 sq ft. - take everything out and do the following:
- install new flooring (ceramic tile or laminate)
- install new toilet in existing location
- install new dual sink vanity in existing location including plumping for additional sink
- install new "claw foot" type tub in corner where existing tub is
- install new shower enclosure in corner where existing shower is
- move main light fixture wiring from ceiling to over top of vanity and install new fixture
- install new exhaust fan and venting - no existing fan
Assume you would be responsible for removing all materials and working during business hours.
Ideally as part of the responses I'd like to see some options for product selection in different price ranges as I haven't purchased the main items or fixtures. A bundled cost would be good.
I'm open to suggestions on specific design considerations. I'm not looking for top of the line products but I'm willing to pay for quality where it makes sense.

Our home is 16 years old and wish to retile and update our Master Bathroom. The project will include moving an existing wall between the bathroom and the upstairs hallway to create more room in the bathroom. Install a new shower stall along the same space.. removal of 3 walls within the bathroom space and remove drop in tub. Install a free standing tub, retile entire bathroom. Install a pocket door into the bathroom, new vanities lighting including pot lights. The area is aproximately 100 to 130 square feet not square.
1. Have just had new floors installed in main floor powder room and want a new toilet and sink installed, along with a new mirror and light fixture.
2. In one of the upstairs bathrooms, taps have broken and just spin. Also, valve that directs water to either shower head or in-tub faucet sprays water.
3. Had new floors installed and need 4 new sets of closet doors installed.
4. Based on budget, other optional work may include new cabinet doors in one bathroom and a new windowed-door installed on entrance-way to den.
Project #1: I need someone to install a shower system in my bathroom to replace the existing shower. This will require taking out existing marble tiles, plumbing work to match new shower system and then re-tile.
Project #2: I have a small leak stain on two spots that need to be sanded down, fixed and painted. Both are on the ceiling maybe 5 inches in diameter
I need my two wall mount faucets in my master bathroom replaced with a similar faucet (also one handle). The ones I currently have are poor quality (bought online and turns out they are cheap China made) and the water shoots out and splashes everywhere even with the water turned way down. I will be replacing with these from Artclick here had the Art Bathe ones at my last house and didn't have problems with splashing. The pictures I have attached are my vanity and current faucets. The backsplash is 3/4 inch marble.
We have purchased ceramic tile (24”x47”) to be installed on walls and will purchase white tiles for the ceiling of an upstairs bathroom. A diagram and photos of the bathroom layout are attached. The bathroom includes a corner shower stall, and a corner tub. The old shower stall has been partially removed, with only the floor pan remaining. A new shower stall has been purchased to replace this unit. The corner tub will not be removed or replaced.
The job consists of:
Removal of the existing tile on the walls and ceiling
Replacement of walls with new cement board if needed (materials not yet purchased)
Repair of water damage on walls (under the window by tub and over door)
Tile on window wall to continue below window to the corner
Installation of new tile (tiles already purchased) around existing tub, across to shower stall area, and over tub and shower
Installation of new shower stall (already purchased)
replace a soaker tub with a walk in shower with a bench and glass doors approx 70"wide and 36"deep (I can buy tiles)
separate quote: remove corner shower, safely closing off the pipes (I will just put shelving where it was)
possible third job: remove tub and tile, redo drywall and install new tub only.
to clarify: your quote will be for removal and installation but not for the materials.
The bathroom is primarily used by the children, so durability will be key. The size of the bathroom is about 73 sq ft. We would like to have a ceiling exhaust fan installed and a shower installed instead of a tub. A double vanity and waterproof LVP flooring as well.
There is some leaking that we are seeing in the ceiling on the main floor, and may need a quote on that as well.
