Hey everyone just wanted to try this out before I make a decision. I'm looking to install a new privacy fence that faces the lane way. There was a fence previously but it was torn down and now their is just a temporary fence in its place so taking it down it no problem. Its just a wire fence. The fence I need is 18 ft long and 6ft high. I would like to have a gate on it so that i can still access the lane. Ideally I'm looking for something solid and strong as I have dogs and I would like to keep them safe. New neighbors moved in with Cujo and I don't feel comfortable with the temporary fence. I think that is about it, also if you can quote me a time frame the would be great.
Hi there,
My wife and I have recently purchased a home. It is a semi detached home, with a mutual drive, and in need of a fence (on only one side of the backyard).
Looking out to the backyard, there is an existing fence to the right,. The backyard backs onto the side of another house,. There is no fence between the backyards of us and our neighbour to the left.
We are looking for a experienced workman to build a cost-effective fence between us and our neighbours and a small gate. We estimate the fence is 50 feet in length (one long strip), leaving a foot or two at the end of the backyard. The gate would need to be made from scratch, as the opening is quite small.
We are looking for economical ways of building this fence. We have received a few quotes, but would like to know what others could do for us. We would be happy with the use of pre-fabricated panels (i.e.click here or other home depot/rona-type products.
We are happy to hear your ideas and quotes. We are hoping to have this completed by the first week of September.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.

Back porch: 4 steps need replacing as the wood has become old/degraded and weak.
Back gate: the back gate has become very warped and no longer opens/has become separated from the post on one side.
Drywall: A hole that is apprx. 32 inches high and 10 inches wide needs to be patched in the drywall in the basement - left over from plumbing done last year.
I am the homeowner, we are going to be selling the home, looking to put it on the market for July.
One side of my fence collapsed in the big wind and needs to be replaced. The project needs to take down and clear out the old fence and rebuild a new one on the current line. The original fence is 4x4 and has six sections, so should be around 50 feet. Could you please provide your quote for the project and the what material you will use?
Thanks,
Dawn
I have a gate between my house and my neighbour's. The wooden post on the right side of the gate was attached to my house with a piece of HardieTrim that was nailed to my house. I'd like to have the gate replaced entirely, ideally with a lighter full privacy gate, and have the piece of HardieTrim replaced and re-attached to my house.
I have a tilting fence. I believe the cause is a fence post that is rotted out (the near post in the picture) at the bottom and needs replacing so the fence stands straight.
The tops of the two sections of fence that surround the tilted post should also be replaced with brown pressure treated wood.
The caps on the two visible fence posts should also be replaced.
No staining is required.
I'm looking to replace the fence between my house and neighbor's house. Currently there's an old rusted chain link fence from front to halfway down the side/backyard and t and from that point to the end of the backyard there's an old falling apart wooden picket fence. I believe the measurements of the job is approx 120 ft.
I need a quote to replace the whole thing with a rust proof black chain link fence.
Looking for a chain linked fence for the back of the yard (east side) with the following specifications:
- 11/2ft x 9ft x 60ft chain linked fence
- 5' height
- 2 end posts
- 2 corner/elevation posts
- main post length 18'6
- mesh size 2
- gauge 9
- spacing 8'
- top rail 1 1/4
Quote should include removal and disposal of old fence.
Good Afternoon to all, We are local business located in the King West Village Core.
We have a wall that we would like to be built within our restaurant about 6 ft. in width and about 10 ft. in height. The wall would need to be strong enough to hang shelves. We have wooden bar shelves that would need to be removed from one location to where the wall is being built to be added to the nook. The purpose of the wall is to add an additional space for storage.
We have a patio that stretches about 25 ft. at the moment we have reclaimed wood on the frontage, we would like this to be removed and replaced with iron gates which we already have. the gates are about 5 ft in length and about 2 1/2 ft. width. They weigh about 50 lb.
We also have 4 gooseneck lights on our signage (two on each side), we would like this to be replaced with one long light bar on each side colored with a purple hue.
Thank you.
The fencing around the garbage storage area outside our building needs to be replaced. Viewed from the road, we would like it to look attractive, perhaps with cedars or a way to blend it with the architecture of the building. Currently, the shipping and receiving lot where the garbage area is, has odd curbs, so perhaps some asphalt needs to be laid as well.
Property is in a corner lot. The project is to erect new fence in both sides. The frontage fence corners toward the house. Fence style is board on board; posts are a 6x6 lumber and the board is the max allowable in Toronto bylaw.
Interested contractors need to visit the location and see me for full scope of work. The estimated length is about 156 linear feet.
this fence is to be installed in a space where a garage once stood... there is no old fence and access is open. the 35 foot long, 6 foot high fence will fill in between existing fences. four new 4 x 4" posts will be required. the 1 x 6 boards will be overlapping on alternating sides and 21 will be required per 8 foot section. all wood should be pressure treated. posts to be set in metal sleeves in cement for ease of post replacement. there will be four 8 foot sections and one 2.5 foot section. our budger is between $700 and $800 inclusive. materials are around $500. and would like it installed the week June 21.
We would like to install a wood fence along at least one side of our backyard. Right now there are some bushes and scrub trees growing along the old chain link fence. This job is for an experienced fencing company. Please only use the number attached to text me at this time, I would prefer to communicate through text, trustedpros messages, or email.
I would like to put up a wooden fence in my backyard.
I have about 50 feet on both sides and 16ft width to cover.
I would like to put up a fence for privacy so I do not want any gaps in the wood and I want it to go to the allowed height limit of 6ft.
Can I get two quotes, one for pressure treated wood and anohter one for cedar?
I would really appreciate pictures from your previous jobs or a link to your website.
Regards,
Bea
I have a 6'x65' fence project. I have all the materials (cement, rock, post, sono tubes and 6x6 fence panels. Have already done the locates and just need someone to remove old fence (3' high wood post and chain link) and install new fence.
Any ideas on cost per linear foot? Straight level fence.
Also what depth? I've heard 4' bit is this really needed in Toronto? As we don't seem to get deep freezes?
Install wooden fence around property. Replacing 2 sides of chain link and 1 side of wooden fence that is falling down currently.
We would like it for privacy, keeping in doggies, and looking nice visually.
We are the property owners. No idea on how many feet of fencing it will be. Maybe 200 feet or so?
Would like to start when ground is not frozen. Early spring.
