Hi,
I'm looking for help getting this play structure set up in my backyard. I'm a stay at home mom so could easily accommodate weekday working hours. The manual says 12-16 hours assembly time. My yard is level and I may need help removing some garden stones. Here is a link for reference and aclick here
Our house is about 1800 sq ft and we have a finished basement of about 500-600 sq ft. I am wanting to replace our baseboards and trim and I was promised this way back in April for a specific price that we agreed on. Since then, there was a family emergency and he has not been able to contact me as he is not from Calgary originally but from another country. I am almost 7 months pregnant and need this done before the baby gets here. The house was built in 2002 in the West part of Calgary. This job should be relatively fast, but I need someone to take the time to commit to it.
Our town house had a dog chew up several pieces of baseboard, a banister and other small pieces of wood-work. The baseboard is unique and is difficult to find a replacement. The town house is 8 years old. The majority of the baseboard is in good condition but some sections will need to be replaced.
During a thunderstorm a plugged eaves trough caused a basement window well to fill with water. The water flooded through the window into a spare bedroom. Most of the baseboards are damaged, and the cork floor was also waterlogged. Some of the water also leaked through the window to the concrete wall behind the vapour barrier and got the insulation and framing wet.
We have pulled up the floor, removed the vapour barrier that was under the floor, pulled off some drywall and vapour barrier, and removed 2 bats of insulation. A dehumidifier is currently running to dry the room and the cork floor completely.
The drywall around the window must be removed, the wall reinsulated, and new vapour barrier installed. The drywall will need to be repaired / replaced on this wall. Some of the cork floor will be salvageable, but some new will be required. Total floor area is approximately 175 square feet. All of the baseboards (4" x 1/2" MDF) will need replacement, roughly 45 lineal feet. Part of the casing around the window (approx. 4 lineal feet) requires replacement.
Any bids should exclude cost of cork flooring as it is uncertain at this point how much is salvageable. The basement was renovated completely in spring 2010.
Wondering if there is anyone out there that has assembled any of these playsets...we will purchase and have delivered to our home, but would like for someone to assemble it. Thanks for any interest.

I have three closet openings with require closet doors. The original doors have been removed and discarded.
Small one-bedroom condo needs replacement closet doors. 30-year old apartment building.
FYI: Other existing doors are 6-panel white. (Bedroom, Bathroom, Storage room). Dark Laminate flooring. Ceiling is stucco.
1. Linen closet door. Opening is 22.75 inch by 8ft high (floor to ceiling) Floor is new laminate. Preference would be for a door that fits the entire opening since the closet is quite small and access to items must be easy. Single door preferred over bi-fold.
2. Main entrance closet. Opening is 35 inches wide by 8 feet tall. Floor is new laminate. Would prefer possibly double doors hinged on either side, full height as much as possible to retain access to top shelf. No tracks.
3. Bedroom closet. 74.75 inches wide by 8ft high. Floor has a strip glued to concrete subfloor for track. Full height is not mandatory for this one. Possibly a two-panel sliding door with excellent track system. Mirrored on one or both panels. silver frame.
In all three cases there is no framing in the openings.
Need a small 10 mm nut to be TIG welded to a broken M6 x 1.0 steel bolt for the fastening connection for a thermostat housing onto the aluminium engine block. Bolt head sheared off because it is ceased. There's enough clearance on broke bolt sticking out of hole to weld on both sides of nut. Just can't do it myself. Will need to be under truck to do the weld. Should be a very quick job, car is on jack stands.
Good morning,
I would like to request a quote from your company for the following services:
1. Interior painting of 2 bathroom ceilings and 1 wall (by small staircase)
2. Exterior painting of our house's window trims and the garage door
3. If interested, we also need help to clear out some clutter around the house, and make a few minor home repairs (e.g. one broken wooden panel on our fence, replace one wooden trim on a window).
We are available most of Oct 1 to Oct 3 (daytime) if you need to stop by for an estimate or to start the work.
Priority is on the exterior of the house -- so we can paint before it snows.
Thank you,
Anne-Marie
My tenant slammed the front door and split the frame joints. I'm not sure if this is a big or small repair as I have had several opinions thus far. This should not big a very long contract - would be a good fill in job for someone who knows what they're doing. Please let me know your thoughts and whether you can look at it to do an estimate. Thank you!
Need staining done on:
- 1 year old cedar fences total 50ft long 6ft tall + 3 gates.
- 1 year old wood (pressure treated?) decks 10x5 ft, and 4x4ft + 6 steps total
- new cedar bench-planter combo, 3 total, each 8ft long x 4ft tall x 4ft wide.
- new teak patio furniture, 1 table (4ft diam), 6 chairs, 1 side table (1 ft square).
if possible, estimate to also include stain price (transparent to semi-transparent, natural cedar colour.)
Our basement is roughly 650 sq feet. We have completed; drywall, mudding, sanding, painting. The ceiling has been finished, the rug professionally installed. We have some finising type work remaining: baseboards, door casing, small bit of painting, some drywall damage on the stairs that occured when laying the carpet, electrical pannel needs to be hidden.
It is not a large job and we are having difficulty finding a contrator willing to finish it off. The work that has been done has been done by my husband and hired professionals.
Thank you
I have a town house in Northwest Calgary that's about 30 years old. It is a 2 story townhouse with no basement or balcony. It is about 900 square feet. I was renting out the place for the last 2 years and now wants to give it a complete renovation and puts it for sale on the market. So here are the tasks I would like to have done:
- I need the entire interior wall of the house to be re-painted (It was white and I would like to have the same color)
- There is a broken water pipe in my wall just outside of the utility room linking to the hot water tank. So i would like to have that fixed as well.
- I need the carpet in the house to be replaced.
I will be going on a 2 weeks long vacation on Jun. 13th. So if you are interested in the works listed above, I would like to make the scheduling for beginning of July if possible.
Last but not least, thanks for your time and consideration.

Hello,
We are the original owners of an eight year old home in NW Calgary (Alberta). The paint on our entry door (aluminum/metal) is starting to crack and chip. The door has a black front, white trim around the window. We are interested in having the door repainted but want to ensure that it is done properly (door cleaned, primer used, paint sprayed as opposed to brush etc.). We are looking for an experienced and reliable contractor in Calgary to assist. We are thinking about listing our home for sale in the near future, as such, we would like to proceed sooner rather than later. Serious inquiries are appreciated - thank you.
Our house faces south, so it gets hit with the hot weather and thus needs to have the paint stripped and repainted. The front of the house is a full porch which is what needs the work done - I don't have the exact measurements, but it's about 20-25 ft wide. Also, the wooden edging on the 'pillars' of the porch are warping and will likely need some replacements put in before the paint goes on. We're looking for a contractor that can do both the repairs and painting. Our budget range is from $500-750, but we're willing to negotiate a fair price.
We'd like this to be completed by mid-June (2011) if possible.
Thanks!
I am looking for someone to come in and organize my parents garage and my step dad's tool box. He wants nuts and wrenches and stuff all organized.. not my forte. The garage is not overly crowded. Our garage was "roughly" drywalled and taped last year. We need the walls finished, painted and would like some type of shelving and storage built in to better utilize our space in the garage. We are also interested in a new garage door and opener, but would like a separate quote for this work. Thank you.

We are looking for someone who could do some minor fix-it jobs in our home. We are looking for someone who can replace a shower base and re-tile in our main upstairs bath. Also someone who can re-drywall and texturize our small laundry room ceiling. We also need a sliding pocket door replaced with a standard swing door. We are planning to sell our home and would like the work done as soon as possible as we would like to put our house on the market by May 1st.
We are looking for a general handyman who can take care of odd repairs on our rental properties and our own home. These might include faucet/small plumbing repairs, replacing light fixtures, drywall repairs, painting, fence and gate repairs. We would like to find someone who charges an hourly rate and can assess damage and find solutions independently. Rate is not important as long as you have your own transportation, can make your own reasonable material purchases (of course, we will pay collected receipts) and are able to make quality repairs.
