We are looking to have a small reno for our 4 year old home. The carpet in 2 rooms will be replaced with hardwood to match the rest of the main floor (approx 350sqft). This will require matching the hardwood and existing baseboards. At the same time while the furniture is all moved from the rooms, we are wanting to paint the master bedroom & closet, ensuite, and half bath (wallcovering install will be required in the sitting room). It is a smaller job, but we are looking for someone that does good work and pays attention to detail. If we are happy with this smaller project, we are looking to also remodel our 1000sqft basement within the year.
We are also hoping to have someone start on this sooner than later.
Thank you.
have engineer's plans for preserved wood foundation to existing house, which has a failed foundation on two sides. The two other sides were replaced with cement walls within the last few years. We require the help of a contractor, as we are uncertain as to how to proceed. The plans allow for regular monitoring of work progress, and at completion an inspection with the project being 'signed off' ...
appreciate any help...
Vicki
Bought a new deadbolt and the mechanism is 2” wide and the existing hole in the steel door? (wood core), is only 1.5” or 1.75”. I tried using my handheld drill bit and I clearly need a clamp or some sort of drill press to do this properly. Please help me, it will only take a moment and I’d really appreciate it!

URGENT
Purchased a new 18.2 Cu. Ft. fridge, however, it does not fit in the space where the old fridge was as it is taller than the old one was and the existing cabinets overhead are in the way. I am looking to have someone come in and modify the cabinets over top of the fridge so I will be able to push the fridge back against the wall. House was built in 1960 so I imagine the space for the fridges for most of the homes in my area were not designed for the bigger fridges.
The modification work I am looking to have someone do is to cut out the bottom portion of the existing shelf cabinet as well as closing off the exposed portion of the shelf on the left side so that the cabinet is closed off. I have obtained one verbal quote so far based on a referral from the sales representative at Sears already and am looking for other potential contractors to perform the required work.
