Also in the spring we will also need a roof tune up and a 3rd floor bathroom vent done.
The home is a half duplex built in 1976 square footage is 1288 recently renovated still needs some finishing and repair work looks like some of the work was not done by professionals. My husband and I will be taking on projects in the next few years.

We are looking to have a small reno for our 4 year old home. The carpet in 2 rooms will be replaced with hardwood to match the rest of the main floor (approx 350sqft). This will require matching the hardwood and existing baseboards. At the same time while the furniture is all moved from the rooms, we are wanting to paint the master bedroom & closet, ensuite, and half bath (wallcovering install will be required in the sitting room). It is a smaller job, but we are looking for someone that does good work and pays attention to detail. If we are happy with this smaller project, we are looking to also remodel our 1000sqft basement within the year.
We are also hoping to have someone start on this sooner than later.
have engineer's plans for preserved wood foundation to existing house, which has a failed foundation on two sides. The two other sides were replaced with cement walls within the last few years. We require the help of a contractor, as we are uncertain as to how to proceed. The plans allow for regular monitoring of work progress, and at completion an inspection with the project being 'signed off' ...
appreciate any help...
It has been 8 years since my honey/to do list has expanded, This winter has made me realize I can't do it all. I do not know if this site provides handyman services for regular maintenance of a property to prevent major issue's from happening at a reasonable rate. I would like to live my life without worrying what is going to happen next.
Happy New Year

Right now we have a couple drywall hole repairs, a hand railing needs to be put back up, some ceiling tile needs to be replaced and fix a screen door or replace and replace a couple boards on a deck. There was some plumbing problems as well ,not sure if you handle that or I would use my own plumber.

-reapir window frame/trims etc cracks & holes
-paint repaired walls throughout condo ( patchwork not full walls as it is too time & finacially consuming - we have matching paint colours)
-repair & reapint some areas of metal baseboard radiators.
-replace 1/2bathroom ceiling panels & screw caps on toilet & make sure bolted in.
-change light fixture in kitchen & check wiring on study light
-change a few switches & power outlets to contemporary large button switches.
-change threshold in front doorway & re seal
-silicone any cracks or small areas throughout condo.
Purchased a new 18.2 Cu. Ft. fridge, however, it does not fit in the space where the old fridge was as it is taller than the old one was and the existing cabinets overhead are in the way. I am looking to have someone come in and modify the cabinets over top of the fridge so I will be able to push the fridge back against the wall. House was built in 1960 so I imagine the space for the fridges for most of the homes in my area were not designed for the bigger fridges.
The modification work I am looking to have someone do is to cut out the bottom portion of the existing shelf cabinet as well as closing off the exposed portion of the shelf on the left side so that the cabinet is closed off. I have obtained one verbal quote so far based on a referral from the sales representative at Sears already and am looking for other potential contractors to perform the required work.
I am looking for a contractor to do several different jobs that I have to find
qualified workers for.
I currently have one tiling job, 3 decks, 2 garages, 1 landscaping repair and
many odd jobs that I need quotes for. I also have one special project of
interior kitchen and bath renovations for a heritage home which is a large job
that you would have to have some very amazing references and experience with.
The rest though, right now I'm looking for quotes.
