1) The shower stall is leaking. Need to assess if it can be repaired or if a larger job is required because of signs of wood rot outside of the shower.
2) Box in the hot water tank. (with removable panels for access)
3) Paint bathroom walls.
The job is in a double wide mobile home.
Looking for a quote to install a Shluter system for a 32" x 36" shower and install tile in the shower and floor of the room. We need the shluter solution to avoid damage to the room below. The floor requiring tile is 35sf. The shower is 2 walls only and will be fully prepped by my contractor. We will provide the tile. Prefer to source this out to someone experienced with Shluter systems. Plumbing and all prep will be ready for Tuesday next week. Can you let me know your availability for the job as well?
Thanks very much for your time.
Townhouse is 30yrs old, in fairly good condition. Has had some new faux hardwood floors put in and mostly cosmetic work, paint, tile, lights, etc
Currently we have one bathroom in out townhouse and within our subdivision several other strat lots have had half bathroomsin stalled under the stairs where the hot water tank is currently installed. I am assuming that the drain for the hot water tank would act as the drain for the tolilet but there would be the pipng issues for the flange due to an uneven floor, flooring, installation of sink/possible cabinet/plus location, removal of bi-fold doors and installation of new door frame for single door, and I think something to temporaily block the hot water tank from view for appearance reasons but allow for later removal if needed and allow for access for emergency water shutoffs, etc
Update two bathrooms. Replace original (ca. 1987) toilets and vanity cupboards each with higher models. Replace sinks with marble-type moulded countertops. Replace taps. Replace towel rails and one vanity mirror fitting. Replace vanity lighting. Replace sliding glass shower doors in one bathroom and regrout floor of walk-in shower. Replace towel rails. Repaint as necessary.
shower head installment, perhaps tile on wall may be needed and 2 railings for support for elderly father...also need wooden stairs fixed on front of house due to last step being too steep for him. The stairs are very old so may need replacing. would need written estimates as has been approved by canada mortgage and housing for costs to have the above work completed

Most everything in our bathroom was recently updated when our new kitchen was done; new cabinets, paint, lighting, and quartz counter tops. The next project is to install a new 60" x 30/32" alcove-style bathtub, including replacing the existing wall tiles. Depending on variables, we were thinking in approx. 2-4 weeks.
I'm looking to replace my tub, tap and faucet. In addition, I would like to have a niche built and have the tub area retiled using an 8" x 8" subway tile in a staggered pattern. As I have never had any work of this type done before, I am unsure of the typical cost, so my budget is open to negotiations.
We have 13" x 13" tiles to put around our tub. It's about 60 square feet I think, because we are not going right to the top. What would it cost to come in and do the mudding on the new walls (that moisture resistant wall) and the tiling. I can grout if that saves time and money. Also, what would be the cost to put up the walls if we don't get it done ourselves. Right now we are down to studs around the tub.
Thanks
Need one 400 (aprox.) room finished for bedroom, needs bathroom and small shower, pluming is close. It is framed partially. Need one wall and door to separate from laundry room . Wish to go as classy and cheap as possible. Drop roof easy and cheap do it! Tile floor cheap lets use that...
Some power plugs, bedroom light(s)
I want to change a large bath tub into a shower. The tub is a typical above-ground one, with walls around the 3 sides (sorry, no photos). I want to make it a shower of the same size. I don't think this will be an easy plastic shower implant. More likely it will require tile work. I also want to add grab bars, and there is a chance we will want to change the toilet. Apparently the plumbing will not need to be moved though. Its in a ground level townhouse.
The work would have to start after Oct 17th, when we take possession. Ideally it would be down within a week (before we move in) but it could also go longer.
What kind of budget would we be looking at? Would you be available then, or later?
Roughed in basement bathroom needs to be finished.
Looking to get the following work done:
Installation of 5' long shower.
Tile surround around shower
Tile Floor
Heated floor
Drywall installation
Light fixture installation
Toilet and Sink Installation
Some supplies are already owned. Toilet, sink and some drywall already purchased.
Image of the wall where plumbing needs to be completed for cold/hot water is attached. Bathroom is roughly 5' x 8' with a 3' x 3' enterance.
This is a small bathroom but everything needs to be updated and replaced. We are concerned about water damage behind the tile in bathtub. This quote should include all work to be done including painting and tile work on the floors and any installation required. We are hoping to keep this renovation within $5000 to $6000.
House is 18 years old. Bathroom to be completely renovated...gutted and full reno. Bathroom is a very large ensuite. Would require new fixtures, new tiling, new shower enclosure, new flooring, new lighting, new cabinets etc from scratch. Would like bathroom renovation contractor to handle entire job. Want quality work with minimum of down time to complete project.
I am a prospective buyer about to close on a condo purchase in the next 2-3 weeks. Condo is in Surrey BC and is 17 years old. I need to mention that the condo has recently suffer from a leaky water heater from the penthouse above and is due for restoration this week. Home inspection services to be carried out following its completion.
We would like to conduct the following projects on the house but the ability to conduct them all at the same time would depend on the quote and its fit within our budget. The sizes of the rooms are all based on the MLS listing.
The kitchen is 8' X 6' with an eating area of 8' X 7'8". The cabinets and doors are fairly dated - we would ideally like to refinish the cabinets and put in new doors and fittings. We would like to replace the laminate countertop with a stone that does not allow seepage. We will also be replacing the appliances. The kitchen laminate flooring needs to be replaced with durable tiles. The kitchen renovation is priority.
The carpeting for the living room (14' X 13'9), dining room (10'6 X 8'6), family room (15'8 X 10'7), master bedroom (12'9 X 11') and 2nd bedroom (11'6 X 10'1) to be replaced with laminate flooring.
DIY crown moulding gone wrong in the living room - to be fixed.
Some tiling work to be done by the gas fire place.
The bathtubs and backsplash in BOTH bathrooms (possibly fibreglass units) would need to be replaced with more appealing options. Cabinets to be re-finished and doors to be replaced. Tiles to be replaced.
While I understand that this is pretty abstract, this is unfortunately all the information I can provide given my limited access to the condo.
I would ideally like ROUGH cost (material + labour) and time estimates for each of the major projects I have listed above to prioritize and budget. Do let me know if you have any questions.
En suite needs renovation including: new tiling and border around soaker tub and adjacent shower stall, double sink counter top, new sinks, new mirrors, light fixtures, toilet and new cabinet above toilet. Prefer to use existing double vanity box. This is in a well constructed older townhouse in Panorama Village. Costs will need to come in under $20 000.
My townhome was built in 2002, and of course, the bathrooms are built from 'cookie cutter' building materials. My guest bathroom is small, with a bath/shower combo, toilet and sink. I am planning on saving the bath with the standard white tile and toilet, but would like to replace the sink/vanity, mirror, lighting and flooring. I am not looking for granite and marble here! Just something budget-friendly, yet durable for a busy bathroom.
My master bathroom has two sinks, a toilet and a stand-up only shower stall with one glass door. I plan on keeping the shower and toilet, but replacing the double sink/vanity, mirror, lighting and floors.
The baseboards in both bathrooms will need replacement, as well as some caulking. I am considering a paint job as well in both bathrooms to freshen up the place, as it is outdated for the times.
Since this is a townhome, I do not plan on spending more than $5000 including labour/materials. Can this be done, or am I dreaming?
I will post pics/measurements ASAP! Thanks!! :)
The drain line from our toilet runs vertically through the floor joist below and the floor in the powder room feels "soft". There isn't room to move the drain line due to the small floorplan of the powder room. We would like quotes on the joist shoring/repair and installation of a new toilet.
– Kitchen countertop to be removed and replaced with new counters
– Kitchen backsplash to be removed and replaced with new tiles
– Kitchen cabinets to be extended to ceiling (plain soffit)
– Kitchen cabinets to be painted
– 3 baths to have counters replaced and new vessel sinks and faucets installed
– 2 baths to have standard tub wall surround tiles replaced
– 1 bath to have floors replaced
Should include all waste disposal as well.
We live in a townhouse (strata) in South Surrey. We want to replace our laminate kitchen countertops with new countertops (probably quartz) . The total area of our countertops is approximately 40 square feet. We also need a new kitchen sink and faucet, and a new dishwasher. In our ensuite bathroom, we would like to replace our small shower stall with a larger one.
