Need written estimates to give my landlord a choice of different contractors.
Can send photos if needed.
Thanks!
I just recently purchased my property and the exterior door has some minor damage which I believe can be fixed. I require a handy-man who can help me fix a cracked patio door. The interior frame looks to be aluminum, and the outside is wood. A part of the wooden door seems to be cracked from weathering.
The exterior door trim of the patio also needs a little touch up, as the paint has worn out and parts have started to strip real bad, exposing the wood.
Pictures can be provided upon request.
Any offer of assistance would be appreciated.
Hi our 100 year old home Marpole is in need of a new window [blank wall] and an attic ladder. Easy access to both.
>700cubic feet Attic has insulation which is currently being tested for asbestos. We are planning on having it cleaned out and the cavity being lined for a storage area. A vacuum truck may need to be hired.
Looking for someone to source and install one new aluminum frame window in our building on the 2nd floor. There is no existing window in place.Looking for something about 3ft x 3ft. Needs to be a horizontal slide opening. We would like to have this completed during spring break from March 14 by March 29th. We are the property owners. Attached are images of the 2nd floor exterior and interior walls, as well as an example of other windows already installed in the building. The building is a wooden frame construction. The window needs to bee 3 feet wide but doesn't have to be as tall as the other ones.
We have a bedroom with no windows and would like one put in. Sizing and window type is dependent on cost and logistics of exterior. We're after a very general ballpark price so we can move forward and talk to a builder/window installer about our needs. For purposes of quote: slider vinyl window of approximately 50" high by 54" width. Siding is timber construction on 2nd level of townhouse and would need to be removed before window installation commences.
I have a patio door that's actually inside my condo suite. I'm assuming that, when they originally planned the building, there were going to be patios, but everything is enclosed now and part of the square footage of the condo. However, they left the patio doors installed. The building is about 25 years old.
I'm hoping to find out how much it would cost to take out the door and frame. I'd like to do before putting in new flooring.
Thanks.
We are also looking for a contractor to replace 2 or 3 interior doors.
One is currently a sliding door for a bathroom. It doesn't look appealing and we would like to replace that with a better sliding door, or if possible a pocket door.
The other two are doors that open out (one for a bathroom, one for laundry cabinet), which take up quite a bit of space and we would like to replace them with sliding or pocket doors.
The work is to be done in a new condo in downtown Vancouver.
My name is Hans and I am the facilities manager of the building.
What I need:
Change a wooden door for a steel/aluminum door without glass on it;
Change the glass on the sidelight;
Reuse the electronic locker we have on the current door;
The door needs to be painted;
The upper glass can remain there.
The measurements in the picture aren't precise. It's just for quote purposes. I would need someone to come and take the exact measurements.
Please, find attached the picture of our current door and an example of how we want it to be.
Thanks.
Best,
Hans

We would like to have window replaced with french doors. There currently is a window box located in front of existing window. House was built mid 90's. Not sure if window box was original to house for built after. There may or may not be floor joyce as the area is not part of the foundation and may require some support.
Also for consideration is to build patio off of french doors.
We are looking to replacing the three custom windows on the 3rd floor at the top of the stair case. We need a report and quote on the windows and frames. It's a stucco house, so we'll require someone who will be able to patch and repair.
The total surface area of all 3 windows is approximately 144 square inches.
1 window is approximately 12"x6" and the other 2 are about 6"x6". The walls surrounding them are stucco.
