I just recently purchased my property and the exterior door has some minor damage which I believe can be fixed. I require a handy-man who can help me fix a cracked patio door. The interior frame looks to be aluminum, and the outside is wood. A part of the wooden door seems to be cracked from weathering.
The exterior door trim of the patio also needs a little touch up, as the paint has worn out and parts have started to strip real bad, exposing the wood.
Pictures can be provided upon request.
Any offer of assistance would be appreciated.
We have a bedroom with no windows and would like one put in. Sizing and window type is dependent on cost and logistics of exterior. We're after a very general ballpark price so we can move forward and talk to a builder/window installer about our needs. For purposes of quote: slider vinyl window of approximately 50" high by 54" width. Siding is timber construction on 2nd level of townhouse and would need to be removed before window installation commences.
We are also looking for a contractor to replace 2 or 3 interior doors.
One is currently a sliding door for a bathroom. It doesn't look appealing and we would like to replace that with a better sliding door, or if possible a pocket door.
The other two are doors that open out (one for a bathroom, one for laundry cabinet), which take up quite a bit of space and we would like to replace them with sliding or pocket doors.
The work is to be done in a new condo in downtown Vancouver.
Looking for window repair/replacement on 4 windows in condo unit (all aluminum frames):
#1: Horizontal single slider: replacement or repair of aluminum frame; when window is closed, gap appears in top left corner. Window pane = 700mm x 1,100mm (2 panes to a frame).
#2: Replacement of upper hinge in casement window.
#3: Replacement of glass pane (foggy) in horizontal slider. Window pane = 700mm x 1,100mm (2 panes to a frame).
#4: Horizontal single slider: replacement or repair of aluminum frame; when window is closed, gap appears in top left corner. Window pane = 700mm x 1,100mm (2 panes to a frame).
All work needs to be completed by mid-September.
We would like to have window replaced with french doors. There currently is a window box located in front of existing window. House was built mid 90's. Not sure if window box was original to house for built after. There may or may not be floor joyce as the area is not part of the foundation and may require some support.
Also for consideration is to build patio off of french doors.
We are looking to replacing the three custom windows on the 3rd floor at the top of the stair case. We need a report and quote on the windows and frames. It's a stucco house, so we'll require someone who will be able to patch and repair.
The total surface area of all 3 windows is approximately 144 square inches.
1 window is approximately 12"x6" and the other 2 are about 6"x6". The walls surrounding them are stucco.
