Do not hire Trevor to do any work in your home or business! They have no idea what they're doing and it's actually comical that he is in the business of renovations of any kind! Horrible work, never on time, don't always show up, always asking for more money. They don't clean up after themselves. Cigarette butts all over my yard after asking a few times to put them in the can we put out for them. Nothing but empty promises and just poor work.
Terrible would never ever recommend this company. Had a ceiling fan put in the bathroom leaked every spring from the thaw of the roof the painting was terrible, daughter was home when they were painting and complained the whole time, part of the roof fell off the shed and the door was almost 6 inches to high from the ground. On the gazebo they used the wrong caulking between the 2 x 6's and the door was too heavy which it got warped and it wouldn't stay shut. The kitchen floor that was replaced cracked on the stairs and there was nothing they could do to fix it. The workers showed up whenever they decided to. Paid waaaaaaaaaaay too much for their shotty work.
Just recently some friends were helping us move some things in our basement, The previous night there has been a heavy rainstorm. One of our friends noticed that the drywall on one wall was soaked and mold was forming. This friend traced the water leakage to the chimney and then went up on the roof to find out what was causing the leak. What he found was that when the roof was re-shingled the roof cricket had been removed but not replaced. As a result the rain and melting snow water has been running down the roof to the chimney and then following the chimney into the basement. The chimney area is not visible from the ground. We were told by another workman who cleans the house gutters that a mess - empty soda cans and food wrappers - had been left on the roof. He cleaned that up but did not comment on the chimney. I contacted the office about the mess but they ignored the complaint and did not come out again. I recently contacted them about the roof work not being done properly at the time. I have been informed that someone may come out in a week to check it. Will A N D Contracting repair their mistake?
We hired Trevor and his cries of non licensed professionals. To complete a renovation. The only thing he did on time and very efficiently was collect his cheque each Friday. Paid 30,000 for holes in walls poorly installed flooring and a toilet. One of his workers stole flooring from the job site. He had many excuses and never came back. The family is not honest. They are all scamming people. His father is not a licensed electrician. Beware!!!!!
This company is incapable of large renovation jobs. Nothing but a nightmare dealing with Trevor. We had to bring in other trades to rip out his work and have it done correctly. Damaged flooring in our home from where they placed their tools and denied the damage. Stay far away from these incompetent people.
Trevor Jaculak of A.N.D. Contracting is NOT to be trusted under any circumstances. When he is giving a "free" estimate he was very nice and agreeable to all my requests. The estimate came to around $41,000. They offer a 10% discount for seniors but there is NO proof that I received it. After the basement was broken up he suggested a Sump Pump be installed in addition to the in-line back-up valve (which I requested) citing he would help me with the application for the rebate from the government and that I would get a nice rebate. He never mentioned the rebate again.
When the downstairs bathroom was "finished" there was no toilet paper holder, two months later there is still no paper holder. I wanted a recessed holder but his excuse was there was no room for it in the wall. I was never consulted about this before the wall was tiled. There is an area at the end of the shower that would have been ideal for open shelves, but he closed it in and installed a misfit cupboard which had to be screwed to the wall to be steady. The shower control is different to the one in the upstairs shower, (which is much better) I wanted the same control in both showers. Again I was NOT consulted about any of this.
When the changes to the upstairs modifications were being discussed I requested that the entire wall be tiled with 3" tiles with a nice blue border, I was told it would NOT be a problem. However when it was "finished" 12" brown tiles were used in the shower and on the walls behind the toilet and above the vanity. The tiles above the vanity is only about 10" and the grout line is not lined up with the tiles behind the toilet. I questioned when I saw it saying it didn't look good and his (Trevor) reply was "I think it looks good". I did not get the 3" tiles as discussed and requested when we first started the project. Using the larger tiles was easier for him and he took the easy way out.
He, Trevor, knew I was going to be away for a few weeks and he promised to have the toilet paper stand before I left. Since I returned I have tried calling A.N.D. Contracting five (5) times only to get a recording giving office hours. Payments were broken into 4 stages and he (Trevor) went directly to the bank to cash the cheque, usually with in an hour.
The company offers a "warranty" some warranty when you can't get an answer to you calls. The only guarantee you will get is a request for another payment. MY ADVICE TO HOMEOWNERS CONTEPLATING RENOVATIONS IS LOOK FOR ANOTHER CONTRACTOR, DO NOT, DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS.
Do not do business with AND Contracting, Trevor Jaculak ripped us off so soundly we didn't notice till it was too late. He screens his calls so you can never get a hold of him.
He even made the cbc news...just google AND contracting Winnipeg cbc.
Bottom line, do not do business with this company
We had Trevor and his crew out to do a bathroom renovation. I couldn't believe how efficient they were from the start to finish of our project. Everyone came in the morning with smiles on their faces and didn't leave for the day until our home was put back to how it was when they walked in. (it's our only bathroom so there were challenges). The whole project took 3 1/2 days which was amazing since it was a total gut and redo. If you're looking for a pleasant and efficeint company to deal with...this is the one!! can't wait to have them back next year for our next project!!
Our experience with A.N.D. Contracting was excellent from start to finish. From the initial quote through to the final walk-through we couldn't have asked for a better contractor to work with on our basement development project. A.N.D. Contracting were always courteous, ontime, and most importantly did what they said they would do; provide quality workmanship on time and on budget. A.N.D. Contracting are a family owned and operated organization that we really felt could be trusted in our home when we weren't there. We will not hesitate contacting A.N.D. Contracting on any future projects we are considering.
