I too hired Beldeco based on promises of custom work and early completion and was completely blown away. He would bring his dog to my house and leave pieces of rope and surprises everywhere for me to step in. He had a helper David who was completely useless and didn't know which side of a hammer to use and left him unsupervised to damage my home while he made excuses to not come to work. In the end I had a toilet installed sideways, a shower door that smashed into it and a bathroom that was unusable at best and smelled like toxic waste. To make matters worse he left an old pair of rustler jeans behind. Please avoid Beldeco by any means unless you want to lose your sanity and respect for a pair of jeans.
I ended up buying from Beldeco based on promises of quality and seeing photos he had completed unfortunately every thing Beldeco aka Frank Cosentini did and used on the project was the absolute cheapest quality materials and workmanship possible. Corners were cut anywhere and everywhere to save money. My list of deficiencies after completion was about 7 pages long. Cracked, missing and crooked tiles. Mismatched tiles, crooked cabinets, fridge installed in such a way that one of the doors wouldn't open unless you pull the fridge out, broken faucets and toilet seats, poor paint work, crooked walls and windows are just a small list of things that needs work. He came out to fix some minor work, minor painting, cleaning atrocious grout work instead he ended up doing more damage to the surrounding tile work to the point where I just wanted him to stop and leave. I am sure I could do a better job myself and I have NEVER tiled. Again the quality and pride of workmanship was some of the poorest I have ever seen and I would not be doing business with him again.....ever
Do NOT hire Frank Cosentini. He is a liar, crook, cheat, and beyond rude. He will be all lovey-dubby just to get you to sign on the dotted line. Once you do, his promised timeline will expand from days to months. His workmanship looks like he opened "My First Renovation Book" and started playing around to see what his tools would do. Did you know that a shower door could be installed upside down? Neither did I.
It sickens me to have to give one star.
I too had a nightmare experience with Frank of Beldeco. Building a deck and putting dormers to extend wall space of my third floor, resulted in having to completely demolish the entire floor and rebuild, due to the countless mistakes that Frank made. His boastful promises of custom work and the many skills he has, resulted in a catastrophic outcome, costing me money that will keep me in debt for years. To remove him from the premises required police, lawyers, tow trucks and garbage removal companies. Two years later, I am finally finishing my house properly with amazing work being done. I also encourage people to stay away from this very unstable person who has great difficulty with taking responsibility for promises made, professional communication with both clients and other trades, telling the truth, and accuracy and completion of work. His sociopathic behaviour includes constant abusive language, misogynistic attitudes, and extreme narcissism.
I wish that I had found this site prior to hiring Beldeco (Frank) to fix our front stairs. The review from Elise simply describes the entire experience that we had. The entire project was a nightmare. We were told that the entire job would take no more than 2 weeks and were provided with an estimate. The project took 9 weeks - and was over budget, with inaccuracies in the actual work that was done, costs and simply addition!
Frank showed up at 9 and left at 11 most days, if he showed at all.. Our neighbours all gave me reports on the lack of work that he was doing - apparent from the lack of work being done. At the 3 week mark, he committed to working all weekend, so we changed our plans so that he had full access to the stairs without interupption. Instead he did not show, and when we emailed and called there was no response. When he showed up later that week, he told me he had been ill.. I am empathetic to illness, but have the curtesy to call and provide an update! none was forthcoming.
I found Frank to be incredibly rude, aggressive and his language was unacceptable..every second word started with an "F".
He brought his dog to the house, who dug up my entire garden! I am still waiting for Frank to replant like he said he would. I now have a garden with no flowers or plants.
When the job was finally done, and we received an incorrect invoice, we adjusted the numbers and his math, he started to threaten us. He told us he would take action and that he would get his revenge. 911 is now on my speed-dial.
Franks work is shoddy and he lacks any pride in what he does.
Do NOT hire Frank ever...
My basement was having a lot of problems with humidity and leakage, something was up with my foundation. A few contractors did some quick interior repairs, but I felt like it was just aesthetic. Some time later my original problem came back and materials were rotting again! Beldeco was referred by a friend and proved to be a good connection. The root cause of my foundation leakage was identified and dealt with, saving me mucho money and troubles in the future!
The whole project has been a nightmare. The contract was a real joke : the owner came to my house with a computer and had me write down the stuff he would do. No details whatsoever or breakdown of costs and he refused to add a finish date on it.
After being posponed for 2 months, the work finally started. It took Frank (the ower and SOLE WORKER) more than 100 DAYS to produce an unfinished bathroom. Indeed, he left without completing the job. I ended up losing a lot of money in the project because he kept asking for cheques and the work wasn't actually getting done.
To make a long story short, he was ok the first 2-3 weeks, then all hell broke loose. He started showing up around noon to work only a couple hours. He said he was ill, but I suspect he was working on another project. I asked him to hire someone to make the project come along faster but he refused because he said nobody can work as good as him and he doesn't have time to train them. He became very agressive, negative and was making me feel very unconfortable when around him. He really doesn't have any respect for woman.
He kept bringing his dog to the house and left "surprises" from the dog inside and outside the house.
He was rude and yelled and sworn at me a few times. I tried to fire him because nothing was getting done, but he threatened me. Then forced me to pay more money otherwise he would "take actions". So much that I had to go to the police.
When he finally left on his own (accusing me of hiding parts so he couldn't finish the project and threatening to put a lean on my house), I had other crews come in and inspect his work. NOTHING was up to code and they had to demolish half of what Beldeco had done to make it functional before they could finish it all. Some parts were broken, others missing. He was using cheap materials to keep the costs down for him. So it did end up costing me a lot of money to have things that were done by Beldeco fixed and working properly.
Please, stay away from this guy. I don't want anybody else having to go through this. Don't listen to his sweet talking pretending he will do the best job you have ever seen. He praises himself of doing Custom work. It is true... Because he breaks everything he touches, so nothing looks like it should!
Beldeco was a pleasure to have working in my home. They were outstandinly intricate with their work. Everything was done if a very timely fashion. I would recommend Frank & his crew to anyone. Thankyou again for your wonderful work.
