Ordered all of our main floor windows to be redone in October 2017. We planned to have them installed in the fall to save on heating costs through the winter. As soon as the order was signed there was zero contact from the company on the progress of the windows. I continually had to call the salesperson that sold us the windows (Tom Crowley) to get any sort of update on how the windows were coming along and when they would be installed. He would tell us that they would be done in the factory and ready to be installed in 2-3 weeks. 4 months after the initial install date they were finally installed in the middle of March. Winter had come and gone. Absolutely zero customer service on the part of Clera Windows and our salesperson.
Once the windows were finished and ready to be installed, the contractors who installed the windows were very good to us. They installed them within the week in order to meet our deadline for an energy audit to get a rebate for the windows. The initial deadline for the rebate was in February, luckily we got a month extension or we would not have gotten the rebate.
I will never recommend Clera Windows to anyone.
Good until there is a warranty issue, then they don't stand behind their product. I have a bad draft from one window and mold growing inside. The salesman John says he does not know what is causing the problem but of course its not the window and no warranty. NOT SURPRISED. He then said if I didn't like his answer he could send someone else who will charge me $55.00 an hour to inspect it (I was told this is a good deal because normally he charges $150.00) ... HUH ? Clera claims their employee "thoroughly" checked the window, but funny enough didnt even notice the window crank arm is broken. They also asked me to take down the review.
Absolute worst quality and the worst service. Complete crooks. This company left us with worse quality windows than we even replaced.
They attempted to replace two windows and in each instance the quality became worse and worse.
They stopped answering phone calls. They left us with windows that have required additional replacement from another competent company.
Also, despite having paid in full for this awful product they sent us to collections and it has negatively affected our credit. Would you pay for this?!
The photos speak for themselves. This is a large company that gets their foot in the door by offering a competitive price but their product is absolute junk.
Excellent service by James Kennedy. Very impressed with product and installation lead by Paul. I had a few issues that were taken care of promptly and highly recommend your product and these to guys... they do your company proud.
Clera Windows supplied and installed ten windows at my home in Amherstburg. I am very happy with the quality of the windows and the professional installation. The price that Gary gave me was very competitive and fit my budget. I will contact Clera for a sliding door this summer.
To Whom It May Concern:
We recently had some renovations done to our home in Woodbridge. A major portion of this undertaking was the replacement of the 23 year old wood windows. We looked at many different options, but were directed to CLERA Windows by a friend who had recently used them in replacing a front door. We were very impressed by the professionalism shown by the representative who visited our home, which led us to decide to use CLERA. We found the price to be competitive with similar quality windows and felt confident in our decision based on the company’s long history and good reputation. The installation was performed within the time quoted. The new windows look beautiful and increase the amount of natural light in our home, while reducing a lot of the traffic noise. Many of our neighbours have commented on the job. I highly recommend CLERA windows and Doors.
Sincerely,
Susan Ridolfo
I had a builder grade patio door which was letting in cold air in the winter. I had Clera replace it with an energy efficient patio door with Low-E glass and Argon gas. The difference now is huge! The room is warmer and there are no more drafts. The installation went smoothly and the crew was just great. Will definitely recommend them in the future.
I purchased windows for the back of my house and a new front door back in the winter of 2014 and had them installed in the spring. I had the pleasure of dealing with Gerald, and two of the local installers. The windows and door all look very pretty, and they all operate as they should. I have told my friends to use Clera when they have mentioned updating their homes.
Terry was a very pleasant and knowledgeable salesperson. The installers worked very hard and were reliable. They were willing to answer questions and made sure I knew how to operate the windows and patio door before they left. It was a bonus that they took all the stickers off the windows. They made sure that they took every piece of waste material with them when they left. I am very pleased with the look of my front door, the way the patio door locks and the appearance of my new windows. I am expecting my house to be warmer this year.
