Two guys showed up without a contract so I printed one out that we both signed.
The inclusive price he quoted over the phone now dosn't include tax and stateed he wanted 60% of the total of a job that would take 3 days.
He told me what to have ready and what to buy saying he would provide the rest.
Turns out he didn't have enough nails and sent me to the store to get them and door shims.
The doors he installed were not installed right. Behind the hinge there was no support for the screws.
The gap between the doors was unacceptably wide.
The gabs in the drywall were huge and took a lot of material and time to fix.
He left the place very messy and before leaving, let me know he will satisfy my consurn over the door gap.
He never showed up the next day and wouldn't answer my calls.
He demanded to be paid the same day.
His work was awful and took another contactor more time as the door had to be re hung.
Be warned he is s very good talker but he is very iresponsible dishonest and unprofessional.
We had a recent bathroom renovation done and had contracted Jordan Rogers and his company Embrace the Eh! We are very satisfied with the work performed by Jordan. We found him to be professional and caring in his approach. He made suggestions on the type and colour of tile to be used, which we found very helpful. He is a friendly individual and worked very hard to make us happy. We would recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a job done right.
We hired Embrace The Eh Home Improvements for a kitchen reno on our townhouse recently and were very pleased with work Jordan and his team completed for us. The overall work took a little less time than expected and the workmanship was very professional. We would not hesitate referring Jordan's company to friends and family.
I wanted to personally thank Jordan for his efforts on a recent customized item I had longed dreamed for. His patience pre project, through the design phase and into delivery, I was comfortable. He was reliable, honest and straightforward. It was truly one of the best client experiences I have had with a contractor. I want to thank Jordan for putting a personal touch on and taking gentle care on a passion project that has finally come to life. Many laughs and memories will be made over my new custom coffee table, and Jordan played a major part in its success. Thank you again, and wishing you much success in the future!
We had living/room dining room wall demolished to make one room.
Took down wall where we found water leakage from the upstairs bathroom that had mold and water damage to quite a large area.
Also found water damage in large part of the ceiling.
Replaced all drywall with new drywall, taped and sanded whole ceiling and also removing popcorn ceiling from the 2 rooms.
Removed old wooden floors, evened out all boards and replaced with new hardwood flooring
Added crown molding to the new large room.
All the work was done on time and cleaned up every day to start new day on a clean slate.
The total job was done very professionally with no flaws or delays and on time.
Would highly recommend jordan for any jobs to be renovated.
Jordan was initially good to work with - but right as the tile work started after the demo of our 2 washrooms (this was a 3 washroom job) the red flags started to come up. He constantly had excuses why the work was taking longer, or why he was late to start work. Five business days later, he finally finished the demo on 2 of the washrooms and started tiling hexagon marble floors in our powder room. The workmanship was HORRIBLE. In 15-20 cases, tiles were literally butt up against each other - and all the issues were due to his skill as an installer, as you could see all the problems were in lines every 12 inches (the sheets were 12 inches by 12 inches).
We had arguments back and forth and he said that "many customers would be fine with this". As you can see in the picture, many tiles were far too close, or far too far apart - again, all due to him as an installer, not a fault of the product.
As he noticed some disagreements, he asked to be paid for the work he did so far. I wanted to continue with him since I did like him as a person, I trusted him, and had faith that he would do a good job for the rest of the job. We paid him $3200. Big mistake.
Today, he decided to come to my house, take all his tools, not answer my calls or texts all day while I was at work, and send an email saying he was quitting the job "due to the difference of opinions and expectations on the tile installation."
He left us high and dry in the middle of the busy summer season with 2 bathrooms completely demolished and only one bathrooms tile laid.
Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. Steer clear.
