Lisandro Donan helped my parents refit an upstair laundry room and he rocked it! He is totally professional, really knows what he is doing, and very friendly. He went over and above what was needed and was highly reliable. I give him a 5/5 rating and highly recommend him!

Lisandro did a great job with our ceilings and drywall taping. Very typical contractor response times when initially trying to reach out to him. (very slow.) I'd easily recommend him for any sort of general contracting. Just keep in mind that while Lisandro's communication is very clear, he is near impossible to reach.

We can’t speak highly enough about Lisandro! His workmanship and meticulous attention to details was evident from the very beginning - from the detailed contract he gave us to sign to the smallest attention given to every nuance of our renovation. Lissandro does excellent work. He started on time, stayed within costs. When we added work we did it cost-plus, and even that work came in very reasonably. I would absolutely recommend Lissandro for your home renovation project.

Lisandro did an amazing job with the drywall taping and finishing of our basement room and hallway. From the initial quote, through to project completion, his level of professionalism was evident. He was happy to work for us, even though it was a smaller job. And we really appreciated his ability to fit us in between his other, larger jobs.

The quality of the work is top notch. I can't find a single flaw in the drywall. Lisandro was always on time, and he worked very efficiently. He also always kept the workspace clean, which was much appreciated. He even offered tips for us on how to finish hanging the drywall (which I did myself before he started), and the optimal way to prime/paint it.

Lisandro turned our 1950's kitchen into a dream kitchen. Working on any older house there are unanticipated challenges (we had our share) and Lisandro was able to address each of those challenges with a thoughtful and well executed solution. Lisandro always showed up on time, produced excellent work and everyone I've had to see our updated kitchen has been stunned by how well it turned out. He also had time to tackle a few renovations in another part of the house I was having trouble with. If you work with Lisandro I think you'll find him very professional and very talented.

It's hard to find enough superlatives to say how pleased I am with the work Lisandro Donan performed on our home. He was always professional and courteous throughout our project: visiting our place to estimate materials and costs; providing a prompt estimate; doing precise and beautiful work; and always being open to discussing details and answering questions. In our initial meeting I had the sense that he took his trade very seriously, and as a master carpenter, had an attention for detail and took pride in his work. Arranging contract and payment schedule went very smoothly and professionally.

With an eye for detail and a seasoned technique, Lisandro was able to take my 1924 Kitchener home, one that had been gutted to the framing, and build it back up with expert drywalling and taping, and installation of the Schluter Kerdi board in the bathroom. Every square inch was detailed, all corners were plum and beautifully finished. Lisandro was even able to iron out some of the strange framing and make it look better than expected. With a good sense of humour, Lisandro is also was a good teacher, helping my questions and confusion as I prepared for his work to begin.

Interestingly, I have had two professionals visit my place after the work was completed and both offered unsolicited opinions. One of them took out his phone flashlight and examined the walls and was very impressed, nodding his head in approval. The other, a visiting builder from Austria, remarked on how straight the lines are and how beautiful the corners etc. Hearing this, my brother-in-law wants to hire Lisandro next!

I hope that Lisandro can work for us again in the future, as we have other projects in mind. Although I know that he's busy, I hope that we can get him. Until then I don't hesitate to recommend him to anyone that I'm talking with!

Lisandro did a fantastic job on my older house, installing ceilings in two rooms. We discussed my expectations regarding how "perfect "it should look, (not always easy or advisable in an older home as nothing is straight and true! ) and other fine details. His work was done on time and there was a very small amount of dust from his final sanding. I thought the price was reasonable and would highly recommend him for work in your home.

We are extremely satisfied with the work Lisandro did for us. We were looking for someone to do major work on the house we recently purchased, and definitely Lisandro was the right choice. Being new to the home ownership world, there were a lot of unknowns for us, but from the first time we met with Lisandro we felt confident trusting him with the work. Lisandro clearly presented the amount of work to be done, the timelines, and was very upfront with potential issues that might arise during the work that could affect the project cost and timelines.

We had Lisandro merge a small office and living room to create a larger living room. Lisandro then installed a new ceiling with pot lights and hardwood floors in this new room, along with wall mounting shelving and media unit. Lisandro also replaced carpet with hardwood floors on the second floor and main stairs, and painted the entire main and second floor. All the work was done in a timely manner, on budget and the end result is fantastic. Lisandro works hard and takes a lot of pride in his work, and he goes above and beyond to deliver on his word.

Given the scope of the project, Lisandro spent a lot of time in our home and was always professional, pleasant and reliable. We will definitely use his services again and would highly recommend him.

Lisandro Donen was a wonderful find. (In fact, we found him on this website). Lisandro inspired our confidence. From the beginning, his quotes and contracts were fair and very clearly presented. The first job he did was to paint our living room and attach molding. Because our house is very old, he had to be creative with the molding, and built beautiful pieces for the corners. The work was immaculate. For our bathroom, he offered solutions for problems, and was willing to take on additional issues such as putting insulation behind a wall that we thought had already been insulated. For each extra job, he was very fair with his pricing. We've also gotten him to insulate a basement window and properly excavate the window well. He has extensive experience in construction and has creative solutions for many of the problem areas in our house.

He works diligently, he's honest and respectful, and pays attention to detail. The bathroom is now exactly as we wanted. Furthermore, he's a pleasant personality to have around the house, and that is no small thing when somebody is in your home for some period of time. We would recommend him without hesitation.

We were looking for someone to build our deck using good materials: Trex Decking, Trex Rain Escape, and also TimberTech RadianceRail for the railing. It wasn't a small deck either.

He wasn't the cheapest, but wasn't the most expensive either. But it isn't the "cheapest" in construction quality either. We were surprised at the good quality worksmenship and the care to detail that Lisandro had given to the building of our deck. He did a great job at trying to: a) stay within budget, though there were requirements from the city that changed it but he did his best to work with us on it, b) respecting our property and privacy while working on the project, and c) was professional and polite throughout the entire process.

The deck has now turned out to being one of our favourite parts of our home, and is quite possibly one of the nicest on the block. Plus, with the rainescape we can use the area underneath even when it is raining. He did a good job installing that part as well.

I can't say that I have complaints about his work. Wasn't a fan on some of the permit requirements from the city, but that wasn't because of him. If we need a contractor with this level of workmanship in the future we would definitely keep Lisandro in mind, and will recommend him to others.

Excellent quality in the work, which included new flooring (tile and bamboo), new baseboard, drywall, painting, and plumbing. More importantly, Lisandro communicated very well, showed up on time/as promised, and kept the work site clean.

Very pleased with the quality of work provide for the dry install as part of a kitchen reno, taping and mud work; excellent work on the joining of drywall with existing walls and ceiling, would highly recommended and will use the company for future work. There is only one most important thing to look for in a contractor and that is trust. From the beginning we gave Lisandro lots of trust and he has proven himself throughout the renovation to be worthy of that trust. We hadn't moved into our house yet and lived in a different city, so he did the renovations without us being around. In fact, we only checked in 2 times during the 4 weeks of renovations, and the 3rd time, he was done! On time, on budget. He sent lots of photos and communicated with us very clearly the status and all the details of the work. Every task was done properly and we were very satisfied with the end result.

Of course, there are other things to look for in a contractor besides trust, and Lisandro gets perfect ratings on everything. If you knew me personally, you would understand that I never give perfect ratings to anybody, and then you will know how rare it is to find somebody who's that good. Yes, Lisandro is that good. In moving into our new house, we've had to deal with a half-dozen services, and Lisandro was the best, by far.

One characteristic of Lisandro's that really stood out for me was how patient he was with us. He never seemed to be in a rush and always had time to carefully answer all our questions. This is such a rare courtesy and every other contractor should learn from his example.

We are looking forward to hiring him again for future renovations. You should definitely hire him!

We are so happy with how our renovation turned out. We kept a lot of the old parts of the kitchen so there were a lot of places where you had to connect the old with the new and deal with trim and match new trim with old and Lisandro always knew exactly how to do it and made it look great. Drywalling and tiling look perfect and straight. And the process of the renovation went really well too, on time and Liasandro was totally committed to making sure we were happy with everything. And Lisandro and his crew were nice friendly guys to have in your house for 3 weeks too.

Lisandro has done a good job to replace the drywalls around my skylight. The skylight is located right on top of the stairs, so make it become a really hard spot to reach, but Lisandro overcome the difficulties and fix it like brand new. He also did a great job painting the ceiling and walls.

Lisandro painted accent walls in my Condo.Since I live alone he also moved some very heavy furniture.The painting was very well done,the furniture was put back in place and he was kind enough to rehang artwork.He cleaned up nicely and the job was done in a timely,pleasant manner.I would highly recommend his work to anyone.

We were lucky to find Lisandro Donan. We needed to repair some damage caused by water infiltration inside the house, and we were so pleased after he fixed it, that we asked him to do some renovations in our three bathrooms. We contracted L.P. Donan Construction to install new flooring and repaint the main floor of our home. They had to strip the flooring from kitchen, dining room, family room, entrance and powder room and install new laminate flooring throughout as well as paint all walls. The work was done on-time and on-budget with minimal disruption to the normal family operations. They took our design changes in stride (half way through we changed the laminate at the entrance and powder room) and we could not be happier with the results!
