AWFUL...don't ever use this company.
They made an error on the design...it is unsafe...they promised to call and come back to fix.
After various calls and promises, they now pretend they do not know who we are and will not come back to fix.
Since it is a safety issue, I will call for a safety inspection and take them to court.
Carmelia, We apologize for any inconvenience but we are here to help. Welda manager, already talked to you about your concern 2 days ago, on Monday October 26, 2020 and your issue will be resolved in a shortest period possible by Factory Installer. Due to a COVID-19 situation, the shortage of materials and supply make it very difficult to do it on a shortest period of time, However we are doing our best to resolve your issue as soon as possible.Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Welda Management.
Awful. They have horrible customer service. We paid $4,400 to install the windows. They arrived and said they couldn't get this to the second floor. Regardless that we have a permanent staircase, all of our contractors and inspectors have used the same stair case with NO ISSUES. We have had to incur an extra $2,000-3,000 to pay our building contractors to move the windows the second floor. They still claim there was "no access" to the second floor, yet the next day they were able to access it??
The also provided a window THAT THEY MEASURED, that was too big. They refuse to replace the window, and they refuse to acknowledge anything is their fault.
Avoid this company.
If I could rate this company a ZERO I would. We had our windows done by this company. Our fault that we didn't do more research about them and the fact that they use contractors that don't care about the quality of their work. When the job was done we had a crooked window, a leaking window that was letting in rain water that Welda said was normal, we had nails coming out of the trim on the inside of the house, and caulking about an inch thick around every single window, it looked like our son was playing with a caulking gun it looked so bad. We were in disbelief that a professional company could do such a job. To this day Welda has refused to fix any of these issues.
I normally don't write reviews but when you are doing something like windows on your house it is so important that the installation is done properly and this company just does not care about that. If you are looking for a quality installation look elsewhere, you will be glad you did.
Jan 9, 2017 - In response to the below comment from the company I have added photos of the work done at our home. I could go back and forth with them but its not worth it. They mention that we did not pay... we did pay but withheld a portion until they fixed all the problems with the installation that the company to this day has refused to fix even after an inspection was done by SAWDAC detailing all the deficiencies.
Hi Suzanne,
We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with your project. This is not a typical experience and certainly not how we ever want a project to go. This is not characteristic of our company, as the majority of our customers have been more than satisfied with our work.
Unfortunately after numerous attempts by many staff members here at WELDA, we were still unable to meet your expectations. Members of our management team personally visited your home to try and understand your concerns & offer solutions, but you would not agree & were adamant on refusal to pay. We have at this time installed everything as per your contract. We've also gone above & beyond to try and satisfy demands of yours that came up before, during, & after your installation. At this point, we've absolutely done everything we can. We're sorry to hear that you're not happy with the final outcome.
Beware of Welda contracts. I signed a contract and made a downpayment to Welda in September 2012. In November Andrey from Welda contacted me and said they were not going to do the work unless I paid another $4000. I suggested to him that not doing the work would be a breach of our contract. Andrey said that the contract I signed was NOT binding.
Company Response
This was a very sad and thankfully isolated case. Company Representative who did this quote was not well, that we didn't know about, and he passed away only weeks after providing this quote. He was a trusted employee who is dearly missed. He did not make mistakes in his work, but this time it seems due to his illness there were a lot of mistakes on this quote. When we went back to measure we discovered it was off such a significant amount that we are not able to do this job as specified. We have done work before for Jeremy and his family and referrals he's giving us, which we are most grateful for. We explained the situation to him and he was understanding at the time. All contracts must be reviewed and accepted by head office, which is a standard policy we have to protect both ourselves and our clients from errors. Even though we have the right to refuse the contract, we offered him 2 options: 1- returning his deposit PLUS additional money as our apology for his inconvenience: 2 - we would complete the project with the materials & labour at cost. Option 2 would make this project thousands of dollars cheaper than any of our competitors which he also got quotes from. He decided to get his deposit back, which we sent him in December, he cashed our cheques and we hoped he understood our difficult and unfortunate position and we wish him all the best. It is shocking he would post this review and we are very disappointed. Despite him already walking away with more money, we feel he is still trying to take advantage of an unfortunate situation.
