Developing basement and adding bathroom. No window but vent installed. Is a heating vent required into bathroom and if so, can it run beside natural gas line?

Hi Daryl, I am pretty sure that any finished rooms are required to have "conditioned" air. I don't know if that means the gap under the door along with the exhaust fan meet the requirements.

That being said, I am guessing that you are not the person that's going to be sitting down first thing in the morning. A cold seat can be quite a wake up call - better than a cold shower for some!

If the duct is an issue to put in, maybe you could look at some in - floor heating.

The local building permit office can answer all your questions.

If you need some help, post your requirements in the projects section so you can get some local replies.
