What is the average cost to remove a 20' support wall in a basement and replace it with a steel beam including engineer drawings and building permit?

The price for this could vary widely depending on what the current status of the basement is, and what you want it returned to. It also depends on what kind of foundation you have and its integrity. Most contractors will come and give you a free estimate but you most likely will have to pay a fee for the engineer to look at it.

The cost for something like this is between 17 and 22 thousand, including structural Engineer.
