Cost for knob and tube rewire

I need to rewire house with knob and tube. I live in Winnipeg.

My house has combination of drywall and plaster and lathe, so removing or tearing huge holes in walls is not an option.

The electrical panel is grounded, 100 ampere, circuit.

Also easy access in attic and basement.

Can this be done for under $5000 including taxes?

Hi, for a complete rewire you will need to get an electrician in to give you a quote, don't forget to get your permits.

Hi, we will need to pull an electrical permit, and upgrade the house electrical as of today's code, meaning that all receptacles need to be TR and AFCI protected, and install hardwired interconnected smoke detectors and/or smoke/CO detectors. If the basement is accessible we will try to minimize the damage in the main floor. I wonder if you have a 2nd floor, attic access and possibility of asbestos or vermiculite.

Best way is to do an on-site estimate to evaluate to job before adventure any amount.
